TVWriterGuy, I beg to differ. You haven't heard John P. Kee, the choirs of Kirk Franklin, Pop Winans who makes me cry almost every time I hear him, J. Moss, CeCe Winans, Mississipi Mass Choir, Richard Simmons, Georgia Mass Choir, Mississipi Children's Mass Choir, Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Ceasar, Smokie Norful, Karen Clark-Sheard, Yolanda Adams...I could go on and on. Anyone can have the anointing, if God gives it. It isn't limited to one specific type of Christianity.
You'd think they would've been able to write more verses to the song instead of repeating the same ones. I am an ex-Apostolic, I left my old church in April. There were a lot of things going on that I absolutely did not agree with, including spiritual abuse, unfairness, & damaging gossip. I don't hate the religion, I'll always respect it, but I won't go back to that church. It took a lot from my family. I'm not bitter, but my brother is in the grave because of that church & the spiritual abuse.
@Malleolust I'm an ex-Apostolic also, and left for the same reasons. Gossip, lies, spiritual abuse, and judging others were the major reasons why I left, although there were many others. After I left, my mother was treated horribly by the church members, and now she no longer goes. I don't hate the religion either, but I will never walk back into a UPCI or any other Pentecostal church again.

The church bible-thumped him right off the pews, but I was too young to realize it when he died. Now I know what he really went through. @Acts1926 easier said than done. I was in a church that supposedly was built on the foundation and followed Acts 2:38. The pastor of that church is close friends to the Mangun's, the owner's of this church in the video. The pastor of the church I attended used tithes and offerings from the members to buy a new car, go on vacations with his family and friends, prophesied things that never came to be, and physically assaulted me. Like I said, easier said than done.

I could understand not wanting anything to do with churches anymore, especially an Apostolic one. BUT, please don't give up on finding a good church that preaches the truth, AND do what they preach. i also was a atheist...until my husband took me to church he didnt tell me he was being baptized when he came up out the water he got full of the holy ghost/i fell to the ground....the spirit came over me...and i have never looked back..please know that god is real

@11071989bryce 1..These examples you gave are all very good examples of the way God used certain woman during the old dipensation. However after the resurrection the plan of salvation changed. The plan of salvation can be found in the book of acts where the apostles went out and did what Jesus told them to do in the gospels. Paul wrote the epistles to the church, people that received salvation in Acts. Paul was Gods chosen person to lead the gentiles, that's you and me, in the book of acts......

There is no where in the bible after the church was formed in the book of acts where Paul wrote anything that supports woman being pastors over a church. In multiple locations when talking about decons, pastors, bishops, etc. it say a man. Those were not traditions. Paul wrote those things to a church that was already bought with the blood. Remember, all of the Epistles were to people who were already saved. These were admonishments, and corrections for the church, after the lamb was slain.

@Carol70887 Only the hoiy ghost can open your eyes to the understanding of the bible. In 1 cor what Paul is saying is that if a woman cuts her hair it is as if she is shaved bald. Then he says that if it's a shame to be shorn (to cut) or shaven (bald), then let her be covered. Which we know that her hair is her covering. Therefore if a woman has short hair she should repent and not cut it anymore and it'll grow long and be her glory once again. GOD does not want woman to cut their hair.

@Carol70887 I'm sorry but I have the bible right here in front of me and as I look I don't see the word vial anywhere in the passage, the only thing that 1 corinthans chapter 11 says is a covering is the womans hair. Paul was inspired by the holy ghost when he wrote to the church and said that the womans hair was her covering, if he wanted to be a vial then in verse 15 it would have said "for her vial is given her for a covering", but it doesn't, it says hair. Read verses 13-15 again.

@Carol70887 Paul is not a false prophet. He is the one teaching that that a womans hair is her covering, he said it and he MEANT it. If he was led by the holy ghost to have a woman were a vial as a covering he would have SAID it.

My wife, as well as all other women where we attend adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. You'd think they would've been able to write more verses to the song instead of repeating the same ones. I am an ex-Apostolic, I left my old church in April. There were a lot of things going on that I absolutely did not agree with, including spiritual abuse, unfairness, & damaging gossip. I don't hate the religion, I'll always respect it, but I won't go back to that church. It took a lot from my family. I'm not bitter, but my brother is in the grave because of that church & the spiritual abuse.

@Malleolust I'm an ex-Apostolic also, and left for the same reasons. Gossip, lies, spiritual abuse, and judging others were the major reasons why I left, although there were many others. After I left, my mother was treated horribly by the church members, and now she no longer goes. I don't hate the religion either, but I will never walk back into a UPCI or any other Pentecostal church again.

The pastor of that church is close friends to the Mangun's, the owner's of this church in the video. The pastor of the church I attended used tithes and offerings from the members to buy a new car, go on vacations with his family and friends, prophesied things that never came to be, and physically assaulted me. Like I said, easier said than done.

@11071989bryce 1..These examples you gave are all very good examples of the way God used certain woman during the old dipensation. However after the resurrection the plan of salvation changed. The plan of salvation can be found in the book of acts where the apostles went out and did what Jesus told them to do in the gospels. Paul wrote the epistles to the church, people that received salvation in Acts. Paul was Gods chosen person to lead the gentiles, that's you and me, in the book of acts......

There is no where in the bible after the church was formed in the book of acts where Paul wrote anything that supports woman being pastors over a church. In multiple locations when talking about decons, pastors, bishops, etc. it say a man. Those were not traditions. Paul wrote those things to a church that was already bought with the blood. Remember, all of the Epistles were to people who were already saved. These were admonishments, and corrections for the church, after the lamb was slain.

@Carol70887 Only the hoiy ghost can open your eyes to the understanding of the bible. In 1 cor what Paul is saying is that if a woman cuts her hair it is as if she is shaved bald. Then he says that if it's a shame to be shorn (to cut) or shaven (bald), then let her be covered. Which we know that her hair is her covering. Therefore if a woman has short hair she should repent and not cut it anymore and it'll grow long and be her glory once again. GOD does not want woman to cut their hair.

@Carol70887 I'm sorry but I have the bible right here in front of me and as I look I don't see the word vial anywhere in the passage, the only thing that 1 corinthans chapter 11 says is a covering is the womans hair. Paul was inspired by the holy ghost when he wrote to the church and said that the womans hair was her covering, if he wanted to be a vial then in verse 15 it would have said "for her vial is given her for a covering", but it doesn't, it says hair. Read verses 13-15 again.

Covering in this verse comes from the greek word "peribolaion" which means, and I qoute, "a viel, covering". so let's plug the greek meaning into the verse, "for her hair is given to her for a viel". My wife, as well as all other women where we attend adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array.
