I use amadeus, its free for 30 days, and then I think $15 after that. Its really easy, just select the input and press record. Then click burn to burn it to a cd. If you want, u can add track markers, and tahts even easy. All you do is put in the title and the time where you want one. Very easy!
i use cake walk by pyro it is also free can split tracks and everything jus cant manage to burn a disc always says that the the cd drive is busy help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well to get the thing short, many of you who says that audacity sux, well you sure don't know much.
Abletone cost money, adobe audition *lol*, cost money, Soundforge, which is the best of these when it comes to recording and mastering, well it cost money.
Audacity with the new smashing BETA, is FREEE, you get the drift?
Well maybe not, but it's a one hell of a program, easy to use and it get the result going, the other programs however need a manual or instruction.
does anyone know another way how to seperate the tracks other than cuting out the first song and makeing an entirely new file with just that excerpt from the mix?
Audacity is a good simple program for quick editing and recording. I use it on my MacBook to record my mixes, using an RCA to Mini converter. Mixer Out (RCA) > Line In (Mini)
I love Audacity I have used it for a number of tasks, and just messing around while bored. A few years back I would download voice, machine, ect. samples of sounddogs and put them in audacity and do weird stuff with it while bored.
I also remember a time when me and some people on the internet were working on a quick video game mod and they needed an original sound loop, and I Custom made one from scratch with audacity, haha.
I have used audacity for a few years now and noticed that sometimes when recording multiple tracks they don't sync up - possibly due to changes in CPU while undergoing various process?
i cant even use it the drop box wont show up

i use both Audacity and Adobe Auditions.
I love both because I can mix and match to make any track sound the best possible!!
Both are great and if you can, use both, if your budget is tight, Audacity is definitely the best choice!!

or if you just throw the say no or dont name or w/e ".mp3" on there
example
*type* "cool song feat. me
*saves*
"changing the file extension may make this file unuseable do you wish to continue?"
*clicks cancel*
*adds on ".mp3" so it reads cool song feat. me.mp3
*saves again*
SUCCESS!! :D

Been using it for a number of years myself, never had an issue with anything on it. Great bit of free software.
