Has anyone else notaced that if someone likes the opining credits song in a Bond movie they usuialy like the movie and if they hate the song they usuialy don't like the movie, or is it just me?
I like Halle Berry but she is terrible in this film. All she does is spout terrible lines and awkwardly tries to act tough. Easily the worst Bond girl IMO.
The only good scenes in this film are the sword fight and the car chase.
Your reviews truley reach out to not ony us diehard Bond fans, but the normal movie critic! Unfortunatly Die Another Day was a sad 40th anniversary for the Bond series.But I do hope "Bond 23" is realesed next year and becomes a great 50th.
Great review! I am an avid bond fan and it is great hearing other people's opinions on each of the movies. In my opinion this film was lost potential. It could have been so much better! I hope they do something far different than this for the Golden Anniversary!
I agree with this review 100%, as a matter of fact in my personal oppinion it was the worst bond movie I have ever seen. I am looking forward to your Casino Royal review and am courious to see your reaction to the.... rope and chair tourchure scene.
Pretty much agree with everything you said. I hate this film, it's full of utter crap, there are probably three things that are good about it, that's David Arnold's score, the car chase and the V.R sequence in MI6. There are waaaaaaaaay too many negatives to list so I'll just say that the worst thing about it has got to be that dreadful CGI wind surfing thingy, I mean what the fuck were they on when they came up with that idea. I can't wait to see your review of Casino Royale.

You know, I think there's an OK Bond adventure in here somewhere, it's just overwhelmed with so many bad moves that could have easily been changed--diamonds in the face, parasurfing down the melting ice, Graves' ridiculous armor--and I found the dialogue between Jinx and Bond particularly awful. They tried way to hard to create a feeling of sensual chemistry between those two that it just comes off as bad acting.

I also think this film is pretty bad, it is like a cross between a video game and a comic strip, Bond surfing a CGI tsunami is the low point of realism for the franchise and I say this as a defender of the more outlandish Bond films like Moonraker. DAD is definitely in my bottom five, perhaps the worst of the cannon Bond films (NSNA and 67' CR are worse).

Yeah, Die Another Day is most definitely the worst Bond movie in my opinion. Diamonds Are Forever and Tomorrow Never Dies are right behind. You're right about there being so many references to previous Bond films that it just does not suit

We just want a cracking Bond film not a collage of 'Hey! Remember that shoe? Well here it is again!... Hey! You know that line Q said in Goldfinger? Well here it is again!... Remember that satelitte from Diamonds Are Forever? Well here it is again!'
@WhySoSerious0331 I was 13 when I saw it. First Bond film I saw in the cinema. At the time I claimed I liked it but I blame that on youth and the fact I was confused by the idea of activly disliking a Pierce Brosnan Bond film.
@calvindyson My first in-theatre Bond was Tomorrow Never Dies, and by the time I got to this PoS, I had seen all of the Bond movies like a dozen times a piece, so watching this one was like a repetitive kick to the balls. Hell, I'd watch Thunderball over this and I really don't like that one lol.

I always lose my breath when you do your recap, how you can talk at lightning speed without becoming incomprehensible just amazes me lol.
I loath this movie. I'll never forget the moment I saw Bond surfing with the parachute, I was only 12 but I nearly vomited from the horrific sight.
