Arcade Fire is a simple pop band compared to some of the acts you've listed.

However, compared to most of the contemporary stuff, I think that Arcade Fire are a quite a good bunch of musicians. But, you are correct: anyone thinking Arcade Fire are progressive and original is simply deluded.

And yes, there is much better music out there.

But people can still enjoy this too, don't you agree?
