Uhmmm, you do know that Kirk Hammett has been active since 1980 (In Exodus), right? He's been with metallica since 1983? Carlos Santanna? Been active since 1966 with Los Lonely Boys? Slash? Since 1983. Van Halen? Still plays. Satriani? He gave Kirk Hammett guitar lessons. So by your standards he should be 'modern.' Either that or You need to take out Slash, Kirk, Satriani and Carlos and maybe Buckethead.
