What's with all the deathcore related comments? This band sounds almost identical in a lot of ways to early 2000s Napalm Death. That would make them death metal/grindcore. The only big difference between them is that this band is more technical.
Yet again...more talk about different types of metal. Why do people care so much? I'm gonna stop putting stuff into different genres and just call it music and if I like it I'll listen to it. Whats the sense in arguing over a common passion with small amounts of variances?

You're right, Veil of Maya are definitely technical, although I would consider them to be more Progressive/Technical Death Metal with Hardcore influences. I mean, there is A LOT more Progressive influence through their music then 'Core'. That much is obvious.
