Sadly the goldfish breeder lost it when it was only 3 years old.

Regular-size goldfish don't even seem to last more than 3 yrs anyway. Esp ones you get at carnivals. What's the longest lifespan, do you know?

@jess92981 - Longest lifespan is over 40 years.Goldfish can live a very long time if correctly looked after. But the first 6 months of life is very critical. In fish nitrogen poisoning (Ammonia/nitrite/nitrate) does a lot of damage,
