  • Its a nice Transam, alot of money invested into it im sure....What i dislike are the different gauges , the 8000 rpm tach, and 160 mph speedo were from the early 70,s, not original...still a beauty!!!

  • Put a 455 from a grand prix in there like mine and she will be ready haha

  • "Factory Horse Power" Then you go around and say more horse power due to upgrade? Are you running for office? or just too close to D.C.? You sound like a used cars salesmen in this video.

  • @baldknober124 I went back and watched this old video to see if you had a point.

No, I'll stick with this... 59 likes - 4 dislikes. Have a great day or Not!

  • I had a carasel red 1976 Trans Am (in 1981). I wish I still had it, but now I want to buy one. They are hard to find. It also had honeycomb wheels. I would like to know if somebody comes across one. I don't have the time or knowledge to restore one, so it needs to be in decent condition.

  • BUT IT'S MISSING THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER!

  • @cutlassttop Who would smoke in this car?

  • Lets delete all videos that are 4 yrs old come on guys this is a georgous car but its been sold for 48 mths now.Next one please.

  • @camirocz

We have a new one in stock. WS6, W72, gold 4 speed, 24K actual miles, t-tops, spectacular.

Check it out on my home page here on youtube carsbyjeffdot net

  • how many horses does this t/a have?

  • how much would a trans am just like this one cost me?

  • @joseandy68

    Around $24,000.00

  • My dad is gonna get me this as a first car!

  • My grandad owns one of these, loved em since I was a kid.

  • that's sweet as!

i like the white with the blue stripe better though

  • Give it a few years, but if i got a 79 trans am, could I get it to this exact condition easily? ( not having to ship it across the world, btw I'm in aus). I would love it exact factory design but over the 30+ yrs it's been out theres probably no way possible. And could I ship a car to u to have it done up?

  • @guitarg0d7007

We will find one for you when you are ready...

  • i have a 1978 trans am i going with silver paint and black emblems with black and gray interior, def. not going be a"show car" i dropped a 455 Buick stage 2 bored .40 over all built and cammed up, its going to be my hot rod lol. it'll still look nice but its gonna be fast as hell.

  • Oh my god, that is sexy. How much do these cars go for?

  • See, now this is what happens when Americans build the cars, they are amazing with the best build quality ever and not only last forever but are amazing to look at. What a shame they're all foreign now.

  • would you suggest a full restore of a 1979 trans am 10th anniversary?

or making it pretty like this car?

  • @OldestManInCanada I don't tend o like the older trans am's. I like the trans am's that were made during the 70's and the early 80's. And I wanna live where u are :(

  • @guitarg0d7007

Driving at age 14 is way too young, certainly handling a muscle car, only experienced drivers should drive.

  • nice i love the old pontiacs

  • Why, why, why do sellers of cars sometimes fail to mention a price? "Yeah folks, call us up and we'll dream of a price based on the kind of person we think you are."

  • Im SOOO jelous, i have a 1980 firebird but it has a considerable amount of rust and would cost me an arm and a leg to get it back to this kind of condition

  • i got the 403 olds i like the shaker too

  • i got the 403 olds

  • Hey that guy's got a point, more for T/A fans than Jeff haha, only 77s and 81s were used in the Smokey and the Bandit movies,i know this well cause my dad has an 81' Turbo T/A he's looking to restore, it is a Special Edition car and he is hell bent on restoring it to stock to match the Bandit movies but here's where i get into the argument with him, it currently has tan interior and the 81' Bandit had black interior! haha, he just wont believe me for the life of him...

  • They wheels are called honey comb you dumb ass

  • exhaust setup????

  • thats the exact car ive wanted for years now and when i can drive thats probs gona b my 2nd or 3rd car. xact color year everything!

  • so beautiful :)

  • If you get another one like this Jeff, Ill buy it.

  • @tomcatt3 Thanks. Keep an eye on my channel here on youtube.

  • WOW perfect, im looking for a 79' to restore.

  • no 79s were used in any of th 3 bandit films!you can tell it has a dash cap lmao! some of the interior panles are not the correct tan!

  • they used auto in the movie for inside shots but in the chase scenes its a four speed going thru the gears.

  • amazing

  • Wish i didnt have to get rid of my t-a's. They need restored '78 t-a 400bb, '80 turbo t-a with t-top, '81 turbo t-a. Cant afford to pay my storage bill so i'll probably lose all 3 in the next week or 2. :(

  • how much:?

  • This car is so beautiful i could cry

  • im about to buy one just like this but its an auto trans :(

  • mines an auto

  • I just bought something similar, but its black hobnail interior and a 403. I hope it gives me good times.... :)))))

  • well i own a 1979 trans am... recently just bought a pontiac 400 to drop into it. has a new paint and new interior. i have gone to 4 car shows and won at least a trophy every time. they are truly spectacular cars and a blast to run. and about the whole engine thing, there are so many different ways you can go with a pontiac 400 as appose to a 403 olds. it is just so much harder to find parts for a 403. i am putting out 450 horse with my 400 and that is about perfect. of course not a stock engine

  • The 403 is a great engine. The bore and stroke is amazing. The bore is bigger then the 455. As for the windowed mains? Put a gridle on the mains and dont wind it to high. I myself am building a 403 to 450 hp with easy to find parts. A easy set up for 300 hp is slap some early 350 heads on and a new bump stick with a little bite and you got yourself easly 300 hp and not shure on the ft lbs. so many people over look it as a peformance engine but its easly better then the poncho 400

  • @bagodoritos I HAVE A 79 TRANS AM TOO.CHERY RED.HAS A 403 OLDS

  • I own a 1980 Trans Am and family members have two more 2nd gen F-Bodies. Mine is absolute stock, runs amazingly well, and last test drive was at a sustained 120 at 3400 rpm. Awesome car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 80 sucks....no manual transmission offered....imho these cars must have three pedals to be good.....

  • beautiful car

  • Thanks Caddy

  • When I graduate from college.......I will own one of these cars....or a z28.........Definitely a gem that you had! how much did it go for???

  • I cannot believe how perfect condition it is in!?

  • Doesn't that have a 6.6 that makes like 120 hp. I think the motor is a single bolt main too. Idk I love how that car looks but it performs soooooo bad. He is def going to ask way too much for it. oh sorry it's modded it prob has 125 hp in a 5,000 lb car. Fucking beautiful though.

  • Well, you tell me. We sold this fabulous T/A a year and a half AND WOULD PAY THE FULL PRICE TO GET IT BACK. Doesn't sound like we were too high...

  • O.k, i take it back, but how much did you ask? I was also wondering what condition you got the car in because in this video it looks really nice. There is NOTHING like a black muscle car, i just wish the '79 t/a had a motor like the older ones. But I guess the emissions in the U.S restricted that.

  • Hi, we sold it for $24,500.00 if I remember correctly. It had high compression Heads from the 60's so it ran stronger than stock. Have a great day...

  • @carsbyjeff thats really cheap for that car in that condition. in that condition i wouldve of paid over $75000 for the car. but then again im probs never gonna get the car because over the years people will pay alot more for the car, and im only 14 :(

  • @guitarg0d7007 i live in north dakota so I can drive at 14. hahaha i had an 89 firebird i traded for a turbo 301 trans am

  • the 6.6 400ci Pontiac V8 had 370 hp in the Trans Ams, there bud

  • The 400 only had 220, 403 had 180, 301 150-180 depending on the package.

  • The factory 6.6 liter 400 cubic inch engine that the T/A's came with were rated at 220hp, not 120hp like you state, my friend!...where the f**k did you come up with this paltry number??...do your research on these muscle cars first before assuming & posting dumb shit!!!

  • The 6.6 was the PONTIAC 400!!! The most powerfull car in 1979 at 220 Horsepower!.. The Olds 403 put out 180...

  • You are totally right but the 220 was in net horsepower and even the bhp was underrated...It really made about 360-370

  • 185 . . . but with 320 pound-feet of torque at 2200 rpm. Bumping up the compression and adding a decent camshaft to either motor made a huge difference.

  • The Olds wasn't Half the engine the Pontiac 400 was.. The 400 came from the 326, 350,389, 400 and went all the way up to the 421 and the 455.. Remember ...pontiac had NO SMALL BLOCK! So when someone says, It's a Pontiac Big Block, ask them where the small block is?? The 400 was on the GTO, and the Firebird, and the Trans AM .. In the GTO it was REALLY SCARY...

  • The 400 has more extreme buidling potential as it doesn't have to deal with windowed main webs or siamesed cylinders. Also, it's a tall deck block. I understand perfectly that the Ram air II and IV and other Poncho engines engines were awesome. However, people overlook the 403. It's a great motor that doesn't take a lot of effort to make power with. With about 420 hp reliable at the crank from a mild build, I'd say my Olds 403 is easily more than half of the standard 400.

  • i HATE snowflakes they are so ugly, craigers buddy, and i wouldn't even renew it, i would customize it and drag it down the highway

  • idk but brawndo has electrolytes

  • how much?

  • nice very nice..

  • That head unit does not play CDs.. it's only for iPods and radio.

  • fk me....u cnt really get much btta than tht. The gold trim trans am is the best trans am u could own

ive seen a red 1 excatly the same as this 1 with gold trim sittin in some1z front yard in adelaide.....which is wating for me.

  • Very very nice car

  • the fan belts sound like they need a squirt of chalk, quiet them down.

  • Beatiful T/A! Is it still for sale?

  • Sorry, it sold very quickly to a gentleman down South...

  • Awesome quality! How much did it go for?

  • I think it was $25,000.00

  • exactly like my TA, only mines a 80

  • what is the price if u still have the car b/c i got a 78 that i cant drive b/c of mpg so what is the price

  • Sold!

  • Sweet looking car man. Love the hood.

  • How many MPG's do these 1979 Pontiac T/A's get? PLEASE respond!
