Holy...Crap.. I made something a set of goggles almost identical to these, down to the position of the gears. @_o.. which I also got my gears from a junked car cd player, too much freakyness.

I still like it better than a blue-tooth. it looks like it will put off a lot less radiation as well. is that warm orange glow, off the left lens, the brotherly warmth of mars, or the burning spirit fire of the sun,?. so, yeah.,. & stuff. mad kudo's for making the game day deadline. great work, just as an afterthought you might consider adding a potentiometer / rheostat to controll the speed of the motor it seems a bit fast especialy if you have longer hair lol

@MechaLuigi3000 fallout 3 is steampunk influenced, so you're right in a way. the armored guy on the game's cases' cover says it all.

my favorite steampunk game is Arcanum, from the victorian music to the guns (tesla gun <3), and in the first town you get to there's a steam engine in the church!

The gears came out of a Car CD player that had the automatic face that flips around backwards (It is in the video description). You can find similar gears in most any home appliance that has a motor. Let me know what you build, I'd love to see it.

It started as a type of book and grew to a clothing style that people adore. Steampunk is basically what would happen if the Industrial Revolution happened in the Victorian times.

steampunk is a genre of fantasy. Steampunk's defining characteristics are usually, but not always the following. A vicotrian setting. Often times outlandish and uncharacteristic inventions are reimagined for the time period, often using 'steam power' since it was predominate in the era. That's more traditional steampunk, but it can vary. Jules verne is often thought of one of the pioneers of the genre (if you're familiar with hiswork), though the term wasn't coined till the 1970s i believe.

Aslo, the Industrial Revolution actualy took place during Victorian times, Steampunk is about what would've happend if that persisted.
