@MrRadicalEdward Snake worked for a black operations group called FOXHOUND. In MGS1, a splinter cell of FOXHOUND broke away and revolted. After the first game, the entire thing was disbanded.

The MGS series is and will be one of the best game collections of all times! period. IMO Halo COD and MOH would be all worthy contenders, no doubt about it, but MGS sorta combines what they have with it´s unique feature, a simply well-writen story-line. Halo, COD and MOH, have very good gameplay and graphs. but compared to MGS they only have a fairly good plot and story-line. That´s why sometimes I think MGS would be worthy of a well written movie.

i enjoyed the metal gear saga. easily one of the greatest and most gripping plots in all gaming history. my personal fave was mgs2 because of how smooth and simple the gameplay was. but you had to play as raiden before he turned awsome. useless, but awsome =P

I have mixed feelings about Snake having lived at the end. I love Snake as a character. But I think the whole thing about Foxdie no longer being able to spread to random people was a little bit of a cop out. Not that I'd like to see Snake die, but I think it would have been more appropriate for his character: making one last sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice.
