erm... of course its snake! you play as snake in the game! (only 10% of it though) but anyway! snake is the only character in the game that really has a beard! and snake has always been the cover art guy for metal gear!

@XxDaloxX Hey buddy, sorry it took me so long to get back to u I haven't been on youtube in a while. To the best of my knowledge I know of Metal Gear, which was released for the NES in America and some Japanese computer(MSX I think), and there was a Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake released only for the MSX, America got some version of it called Snake's Revenge that didn't resemble the original game at all. Those two games were released in 1987 and 1990, respectively.
