I love how the leftists think they know how conspiratorial the right is...when the truth is the real manipulators are those on the left. Capra and his screenwriters may have written stuff. And it was good from the start. But it always got better with the actors reading it and acting it. Even Walter Brennan got into this gig, and (besides the fact that he was an acting genius), he seemed to be fine with others taking over. As long as he agreed with their goals.

@clarisd : A note of hope: everything happens in cycles, and it really is always darkest just before the dawn. We tend to try to imitate what we see in the movies, and SOMETIMES that's a good thing. Something good and something huge IS happening. Rejoice in the anticipation of it, envision it, and make it yours. ;])
