  • I am totally diggin the music

  • My neighbor is a VMI grad, and he was running tanks in Iraq during OIF.

  • Obama the first half-caste biracial mixed-race president not black

  • Don't want to sound stupid, but does anyone know the name of the song they are marching to?

  • @7englandSOCCER Shenandoah

  • @7englandSOCCER Oh Shenandoah is the song.

  • My boyfriend was in there!!

  • When 2nd battalion passed you could see Ms Obama mouth "wow", i guess its cool for her to see what real men look like for once

  • I guess you didn't attend then. Because real men know when to shut the fuck up.

  • WOW! Your cool!

  • I am.

  • ...omg!

  • how hard is it to get into vmi? ive got a 3.4 and a sat score of 1660....do i have any luck?

  • you can get in fine with that. I got in with a 3.0 and a sat of 1680. if your in state it'd be even easier.

  • 52 percent are admited, and you look like you have a shot

  • West Point, Annapolis, VMI, Citadel, etc. all great institutions with members current and past who have made all of us true American's proud! I'd go into battle with any graduates from any of our military academies anytime!

  • you are honestly the only person i have seen bash us so just shut up

  • Rah Virginia Mil, Rah Rah Rah. Rah Rah, VMI, '12, '12, '12!

  • I am so proud! You guys are just something!

  • All "haters" step aside. VMI "IS" the best of the best. Don't hate, congratulate!! My son is a 2006 graduate. These guys are the "cream of the crop". West Point or Naval Academy. No way. Check out that precision...

  • And to which Service Academy do you belong? It is sad when people just don't appreciate "greatness". VMI produces citizen-soldiers and not just soldiers. I am sure you wouldn't complete the rigorous training...

  • West Point (I was offered a four year AROTC scholarship to VMI as well but West Point is a better financial and educational choice)

  • hah thats funny you say that, my best friend got into west point, and turned it down to go to VMI on an AROTC scholarship because he said WP looked like a joke compared to VMI when he visited. I also know a West Point cadet who transfered there after doing one year at VMI, going through the entire rat line, and said West Point was a joke, aside from the academics.congrats man you do more homeowork. go sit in your little cubical in some office, the VMI officer will be the one on the frontline.

  • Im going to apply to VMI next year. Im a junior in HS right now and simply because I know I'd be a better officer than NCO and I dont have the smarts for an incredible university or academy, Im going to try and get into VMI where Im sure Il fit right in...

  • Hey kid, no need to mock other inst. Just makes u look like an idiot!

    Class of 98'

  • @Aqualung09 And how are you able to judge this without having gone to either school yet?

  • @Aqualung09 Where are you getting your statistics from?

  • So far, I am loving the Obama Era!

  • Just as good as the "Old Corps." Bob Hess, '67

  • I'll be able to march at the next Inaugeration for VMI!!! WOOO!

  • No way! I saw them both, and VMI made them look second-rate at best, Marines don't march well, anyway!

  • Would it be too much to say that VMI stole the show?

  • Yes, it would be too much....But you could say thatt VMI "Borrowed" the show.

  • Which part of the parade do you think was the best part?

  • VMI cadets dont steal... it against the Honor Code: A Cadet will not lie, cheat, steal nor tollerate those who do.

  • @subcap90 Oh please...people break rules all the time.

  • and those people don't make it through vmi

  • God bless America ,God bless Obama!!!!!!

  • I wish I could've marched in this inauguration rather than Bush's sequel

  • The Corps was lookin good. Easily the best marching unit and band in the parade. It makes me proud to be a Virginian!

  • Yes I remember that. I also remember my arm getting the shock of its life when moving my sabre for the eyes left. Isn't it funny how all the other units are doing all sorts of stuff to wow everyone, but VMI just "walks" by and trumps everyone?

  • Ditto....very well put......they did trump everyone!

  • That sucked so much ass when we marched at W's 2nd inauguration...u guys remember sitting in the buses for 3 hours at the pentagon?

  • @k2enemy8 I tired to get into that inauguration to watch it, but they locked down the whole route due to the Alpha Hotel rioters. I remember seeing dozens of Pontiac Montana vans whipping around the corner where I stood (Loaded with Tactical teams), headed toward the idiots who were trying to tear down the security barriers. I saw the jackwagons walking back with tears in their eyes, they got gassed! It was a crazy day, but what an experience.

  • Great Job guys! Way to make the institute proud!

  • Wow, you must think the rest of us is unintelligent as you are. It's Justice Robert who screwed up the oath, not President Obama and it's Obama who spent the $150 millions.

It's your lovely Bush & Chenney who killed the economy, we're going to clean it up.

But, hey...if living in your denials make you feel better. Go right ahead, the rest of us have a country to rebuild. You??? You can go back to your FOX denials...shoo..shoo...

  • Not being of the military way, but liking it...VMI, you make me proud to be an American, excellent job corps of cadets!!

  • Wow, it's so much better watching it on TV than marching it (4 years ago). I remember how miserable it was for Bush, below freezing and yet drizzling rain... but seeing this video, it's all worth it! Job well done

  • As the announcer says...."Lookin' Good"....and that you are. You make everyone associated with VMI proud....go Keydets!

  • My grandfather played at the VMI for President Trumans inauguration back in '49.

  • Yeah Jenn Ball!!1

  • Lookin good Keydets!

  • One of Obama's Secret Service guys is a VMI man.

  • Certainly a gratifying spectacle!

  • I was so proud to be able to see our son Cadet David Marlon Miles in the parade. It was so moving and I have to agree they saved the "best for last"!!!! You all made everyone of your family and friends pround. You all are a part of history now. Marlon keep up the good work! Love Mom and Dad

  • I cannot help but play this over & over with tears in my eyes! VMI Cadets, you have got to be so impressed with yourselves,we are so proud. What an impressive show of respect and perfection,by far the best was saved for last!

JB we had so many here at home watching, just wish that we could spot you!! Awsome video, thanks for sharing I know all VMI families are enjoying! Love ya JB!

  • The Corps did itself proud. We marched in Eisenhower's inaugural parade in 1952 - freezing that day too. It's good to see them looking great still. JMP Archer VMI '54

  • Practicing in 3 degree weather was worth it. You and all VMI cadets shined. I am most proud of you Lauren, and to all your comrades.

  • Way to Keydets!

Congratulations Hankey and the entire VMI Corp of Cadets!

  • Holy 3rd eat shit batman, they brought the WHOLE COPS!!!!!

  • rofl at the batman comment

  • Well almost the whole CORP. Some 200 were left behind due to injury or sports and/or guard obligations

  • Way to go Corps! Lookin' good.

  • Great job Cadets! I know alot of hard work went into preparing for this.

  • gregoooo!!!!!

  • VMI's basketball team is on FIRE this year - the new president would probably enjoy visiting and playing a pick up game. I hope they invite him.

  • Great Job Keydets. Something you will all remember. My son is a Rat, I can't believe I actually saw him in the clip. Yahoooooo

  • My son is a VMI Keydet!! VMI represented well! They were the best part of the parade!! What a perfect representation of a phenomenal Institute! GO KEYDETS!!

  • Looks like they brought the whole freaking school.

  • almost. There are 1400 Keydets, only 1200 were at the parade

  • that's my brother! he's a vmi cadet! go michael!!!

  • Awesome! Most impressive, my favorite part of the parade.

  • oops below...

    Great job Michael!

  • Great job VMI... my nephew was marching... Gret job Michael!

  • What the heck is Michelle wearing? That looks like something my grandma and her blue-haired friends would wear! She's an attractive lady - get her some better duds!

  • Fantastic! Thank you for this version as well as the long one. VMI was the BEST! marching unit in this parade - so impressive. VMI cadets, you made us all so proud! I know that it was a long hard day for you in the cold weather. Thank you!
