  • Wonderful job! The entire piece is just beautiful and the dynamics are just right. Thanks for posting.

  • this kicks ass

  • This was sung at my grandmother's funeral--- she was 100 at her death. It is an inspirational hymn and I LOVE this version.

  • I've never heard this arrangement! It is gorgeous!!!!!!! I found copies of it online. I'll definitely be buying it! Thanks so much for sharing.

  • The first is composed by Dan Schutte in 1981 after Vatican Council II. Its words are based on Isaiah 6:8 and 1 Samuel 3. The song was then published by North American Liturgy Resources and was later purchased by New Dawn Music, a subsidiary of Oregon Catholic Press.

Despite its Catholic origins, the hymn is often sung in many Protestant worship services as well, particularly services that are contemporary rather than traditional in structure and format.

  • I recently had the pleasure of having dr Hightower direct a concert of mine, and I have to say he is by far the best director I have had out of my three years in this concert.

  • Was this at Dorian? I don't remember if it was or wasn't...my choir went last year and performed.

  • @MichaelaMarie2012 no it was the concert in the Twin Cities at Westwood Luth.

  • Beautiful just beautiful music

  • Wow, so angelic!

  • This has always been my favorite hymn, and this is a superb performance of this arrangement!

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Did not mean to be critical. I appreciate the posting. Thank you.

  • oh and Stephen Uhl was the pianist

  • It is the arrangement by Ovid Young, the Love Divine was arranged by Mack Wilberg, that was the piece before it on the optional list

  • I'm pretty sure this is an arrangement by Ovid Young not Mack Wilberg from the St. Olaf Choral Series edited by Anton Armstrong and John Ferguson.

  • @Jason31377 I'm only going by what was printed in the program

  • It is Ovid Young. I am looking at the music right now. Thanks for the uploading this by the way!

  • @citymusic09 We will make that change
