  • Very beautiful! I like it a lot. Check out my two updated aquariums. I have a 29 gallon and a 10 gallon. Mine are very bright. I have plastic plants and live plants as well. Mine are no comparison to your beautiful natural looking aquarium, though, but I still enjoy them. By the way, your video is very relaxing, too. Great job! :-)

  • Nice community! Please check out my 20 gallon community

  • can you please please tell me how to take care of live plants, i currently have fake plants (look my video to see it} but i want to get live plants i think they look better and will help my tank on nitrate and ammonia. what do i need to keep live plants. please any info will be appreciate it. thank you

  • This is the kind of look I'm going for in my planted community aquarium but I'm having a problem with silt in the water that settles all over the plants. I'm doing some DIY on the filter and already I'm seeing improvements. Your plants are wonderful and healthy looking. I have another problem, my blue acara cichlids like tearing up the broad leaves and digging the plants up. Well at least they are having fun. :)

  • beautiful

  • Beautiful fish nd setup! :D What language are they speaking, is that Albanian?? :)

  • Jesus everyone is a expert, just say what a lovely tank this man has. Stop nit picking everything people do. Nice tank bro, keep up the good work.

  • hi, wont your angel give your other fishes problems?? for example the otoclincus??

    thaks.

  • that is a biq anqelfish! cuteee

  • beautiful beautiful tank

  • I really like your setup! You did a really great job here! I am planning on getting a freshwater aquarium in a year or so and this is great inspiration for planning the aqua-scape, etc. Very relaxing to watch!

  • Most Beautiful tank Ive ever seen!

  • i c like 1-2 fish! and thier brown! not very exiting! but i love the tank setup! trade u. mine is grave with a oice of fake bogwood and the backround is tape grass

  • check out my tank

  • the first thing that caught my eyes was the internal filter, you should replace it with an external filter, or all your work will be useless, because the inner filter literally ruins the view...

  • maybe that's all he has, only think it's going to do is suck up alot of nutrients and c02.

  • even tho co2 system costs alot i am going to make or (build one)!

  • you don't want to many fish in a planted tank, and not all plants need c02. what the person should be worried about is the plants sucking up to much nutrients and raising the ph.

  • Great tank mate !

Also on the CO2 topic, i have found that in my own aquarium adding the CO2 indeed does make a huge difference to plant size, and it also brightens them up in colour. I stopped using if for a month or two and the plants started to look shabby. I added the CO2 again and things have gotten loads better. Hope this helps. GO CO2! :)

  • @gaz470 I agree, high tech plants with out c02 is like a person out jogging in 120% degree weather in sweats with no water.

  • Very nice I like the kribensis the most.

  • Wow Amazing!!

  • maybe u shuld move the camera closer...

  • @imjuzbored maybe you should get a fish tank ^_^

  • Beautiful tank and plants !

    5/5

  • hi can u plz post the common names not the scientific ones? thanks =) nice tank!

  • I can't really see the fish

  • Who cares that tank is bitchin!

  • beautiful aquarium, plz sub me

  • nonono co2 is for plant to live they need air co2 is not for fish fhis take air from the surfice or bottom of the aquarium.... make one al htose plants need it m8..

  • Plants do not need a CO2 injector as long as there are fish and enough light they get enough food and CO2 through fish dropings.

  • Not really true, the amount of CO2 fish give off is really, really tiny.

CO2 injection makes plants go intensely green and start bubbling up with oxygen, it's really a sight to see.

Nonetheless this is gorgeous, sooo relaxing

  • In nature there is no need for an CO2 injector, since the plants only need sunlight to perform photosynthesis, and convert any CO2 to oxygen while consuming fish droppings though the substrate. CO2 injector are therefore virtually useless, unless you count in the cosmetic "bubbling" effect. During respiration at night the plants will generate CO2 on their own, by converting the glucose they storage, thus upholding a balanced CO2/Oxygen concentration.

  • In nature, there is no need, no, but in an artificial tank it's a must for certain types of plants to thrive as they do in the wild.

With most plants it's not 'necessary' so much as fascinating. These plants will grow abnormally fast and colourful with added CO2 and the pearling effect is simply incredible.

  • @Kakaroti i wouldnt say co2 is useless... it can be beneficial in some applications. as far as a natural setting... there is obviously no co2 injection... but they still do require co2, they just get it naturally... as it is in nature after all.

  • @Kakaroti Actually, the CO2 escapes from the tank as the plants make it overnight.

The fish contribute very little to the CO2 levels during the day so there is a need for CO2 injection.

  • Do you have some type of CO2 Injector?

  • No I don't. There is no need for an CO2 injector as long as there are enough live plants, and good water filtration.

  • My understanding of that was that plants take in CO2 and put out oxygen, and vice versa with fish. If you have all those plants, with not enough fish, they won't get the crucial CO2 they need. I'm not getting how good filtration has anything to do with it. Is there more to this information I am missing?

  • CO2 is not of great importants in a tank where you have proper lightning and a good filtration to maintain water standards, and live plants, as the plants will generate CO2 during nighttime as they perform respiration, and convert nutriants that they have absorbed in form of glucose during photosynthesis, this is the plants main concern to have enough glucose for further growth. So in other words the CO2 cycle/balanc is maintained by the plants and there is really no need to tinker with it.

  • Ok, so you don't need CO2?

  • very nice. I like it alot

  • Is it hard 2 take care of tropical tanks cuz ive got osme goldies but i wanna start a tropical freshwater tank.

  • How many gallons is that?

    ps, it's really pretty :)

  • amzing, really like the angels, ive just lost one!

  • If you don't have anything constructive to say then don't say anything at all.

  • cool aquarium

  • o and a small redtailed shark

  • some one tell me is my tank is overcrowded please!! 25 gallons tall

1 angel fish (medium) 1 paddle tailed newt (also meduim) 2 colorful fish i dont now the name 5 small feeder fish im planing on getting rid of 2 also getting rid of 2 mollies. and 1 small cory catfish 1 meduim pleco and 10 ghost shrimp and 8 darf frogs. o and 1 small yellow grami.

  • wow thats alot man i got a 35 and mine are a crocking groumis,5 neon tetras,1 molly,1 danoi,2 mickeey mouse platties,1 tiger barb and ill add 2 more danois and a swordtail and maybe a pygmy groumis your are overcorwded

  • yay im getting one of these tanks for christmas.

  • Out of all the tanks I've seen... this is really one of the best :D

  • wow great tank, and that angel fish is beautiful :) and the plant varietion is nice too, well done :)

  • BEAUTIFUL tank!! Is it hard to clean with all of the live plants you have? I gave up trying to have live plants....

  • I've found that the more live plants you have the less you need to clean the tank except for water changes. Plants attract algea which form on to them instead of the glass, also consider that live plants play a huge role in the respiration cycle of the tank and help remove dirt and nitrate.

  • nice plants, have ur kribensis bred yet? i used to have tons of em and they are beautiful

  • Yes they bred once and I moved the babies and parents to another tank where they could live until the fry got bigger, then I sold them.

  • love the angel

    how bigs the tank?

  • Thank you..

The tank is 42 gallons with the internal filter, remove the filter and it's 45 gallons.

  • how did you know that the angel with the long fins is a male? because in tryingto breed them and i dont wont to waist money and space, trying to find a male and female. BTW,,, GREAT TANK SET-UP LOVE IT!

  • 1/2

    Hey twintip08

It is very difficult to sex angels, but there are some key behavior patterns that can show which individuals are male and female. for example if an angel has long fins it might be a good indication that it is a male since males tend to eat more and display dominants by raising their fins to the max. Also keep in mind how they interact with one another, my black marbled angel has always shown great aggression towards other angels before I even bought it.

  • 2/2

This territorial behavior is quite typical for male angels and in almost every other fish family, then I bought it I experimented to find out if it truly was a male. I bought another angel which displayed same patterns, high fins and aggression towards others and bingo! They almost tore each other in half, so I removed the other male and traded it for another angel I now keep. This one I knew was a female, because of her tendency to show respect for the males she was housed with.

  • And by the way they have bred in my other breeding aquarium, in fact it was their second time, the first time my gouramis and other fish ate the eggs because the angels were housed in the display community tank, so keep an eye out for potential display of dominance and display of high fins, for me it paid off. Good luck! ;)

  • Nice Fish tank.

  • really nice marbled angel. i had one like that for years until it got too big and i had to give it to a friend, whereupon it died a few minths later. and the opaline/cosby gouramis are great fish. i have a pair that size. you should get a male, their colors are amazing when they're showing.

  • The one with the longer fins in the video is a male. ;)

  • OMG, i totally love your tank... and it looks cool...

  • Very nice aquarium :)

  • I am glad you like it! :D

  • Wow Very Nice Fish!!!

  • Thank you! ;) I love caring for them :D

  • but still co2 generators have not arrived in my country :-(

  • but the thing is with tropical fish specially plants need a lot of attention isnt it? and by the way good news only three snails could be seen in my tank clowns are doing there job :-)

  • Well I wouldn't say that plants need that lot of attention, if water condition is good, and the temperature is not less than 18 degree then I can't see any problem with plants, the only thing I hate is when those pesky snails begin eating them then it becomes a problem. ;-)

  • couldn't agree with you more! btw, very nice tank. especially your angel, the prize of the tank ;)

  • thats right look how the technology is advanced isnt it, half way around the world but still v are haveing a conversation :-)the good thing is where i come from Specially gold fish is real cheap you could buy an excellent pair of gold fish 4 less than us $10 :-) in us it would cost about us $ 150 :-)

  • Cool! Well i'm not the biggest goldfish fan out there, but they sure can grow to be pretty, plus they are not so hard to care for. ;-)

  • i know where denmark is :-) am from srilanka that is a long way from europe :-) by the way its near india :-)

  • I know hehe! It is really good that people all over the world can talk about this wonderful hobby :-)

  • i was planning a gold fish tank in future so when the clowns get big will add them 2 that tank hopefully, by the way are u from States?

  • Nope I'm from Denmark a VERY small country located in Europe. ;-)

  • i tried every thing chemicals quarantine every precaution but still these chaps appear as i final remady i introduced clowns let c hope 4 d best :-)

  • It was a good a choice to introduce does clowns, they'll do their job I can assure you that! only rarely do chemicals any good, I've tried it several times, but without any luck, and the best thing of course when you get rid of the snails, you are free to do whatever you want with those clowns, because they really can get HUGE. :)

  • yes i did return 20 neons back so now the population is under control :-) but now there are to many snails hope my clown loaches will do the trick!

  • Yeah I know the problems with snails, they can really make you go nuts, sure those clown loaches are gonna make some meals out of those snails! ;-)

  • i did a big mistake today i brought 40 neons for my 33 gallon tank :-) it had allready had another six fish so now i have 46 altogether. should i reduce the number of neons there so small and the level of pollution they do to the tank must be very low your thoughts would be highly appreciated :-)

  • Well If the other fish in your tank are medium sized (max 12 cm), then I would not say that you have overstocked, but I would recoment you to reduce to 20 neons only, because then the polution level will certainly go down. Good luck luck with your tank ;-)

  • With that many, some will probably die. Then you will have less.

  • great tank do u add fertlizer to your plant?

  • Thank you! No it is realy not needed if you feed well, and the fish do their job too ;) Then the plants grow without any problem.

  • Thank you for the compliment it is always nice to see positiv feedback! :-) Plant list - Anubias barteri var. nana, Aponogeton madagascariensis, Echinodorus amazonicus, Lobelia cardinalis, Ophiopogon japonicus, Glossostigma elatinoides & Echinodorus osiris.

  • beautiful. if you know, could you list your plant species as well? thanks for the upload
