I really hate final verdict. I am, however, surprised ESPN had a rare mental breakdown and didn't immediately say Jesus Tebow was the best QB in the nation. They certainly have been kissing his ass for every second since then.

Lou Holtz is the man!!! His pep talks can still get me pumped up. And that's coming from a Michigan fan, and someone that hates Notre Dame. Part of me wants to remember him as the coach at South Carolina or Arkansas.
Much love for Mr. Holtz! Oh and he has nothing to apologize for. Kids today hear worse at the supermarket, and say worse on the playground.

His a great person but hes looks horrible week in and week out as a commentator. I remember the year after auburn went undefeated. He said that Alabama would go undefeated the following year and that no SEC team had done it before. Jim Donnan gave him hell. lol

I love Notre Dame, it goes for 4 generations in my family all the way to the Rockne Days.

I hate the lousy schedules they make at Notre Dame, I dont care about W-L I want to see if they can compete against the big boys. I'm tired of the same old same old Irish that don't take a chance in playing a Ohio St. or a Texas or even someone from the SEC.
And ND needs a defensive coach, no more offensive "geniuses" we have had enough of those idiots.

No, I've been watching pretty much since the age of 5(23 years ago) and the BCS just started in '98. Everything has been downhill since then. Most voters don't even take the time to really fill out the forms anyways. It's 12noon, and OU STILL SUCKS!!

By the way Holtz, who the hell does Notre Dame play besides USC that is considered tough? Half of Notre Dame's schedule is big ten teams. They all suck! Why doesn't Notre Dame play Ohio State or Penn State every year instead of Purdue and Air Force?Impress me and play some big twelve teams. Try Oklahoma or Texas on for size. Drop Navy and Boston College. It's time for ESPN to fire Holtz and bring in someone under the age of 70 that doesn't constantly drool over the Irish every Saturday.

I admire Holtz's passion for the game and his love for the Irish. I just can't stand how the media drools all over Notre Dame and the fact that the Irish have their own special t.v. contract. And Notre Dame seems to get all the breaks. They get overrated every year and the pollsters seem to push them into the top 10 in order to get them into a BCS bowl game. I just flat out HATE Notre Dame! I'd love to see them play my Nebraska Huskers again. But they won't. Chicken shits!!

Old Lou story from NC STATE days, My buddy was a WR @ WAKE back in the day when WAKE could cover but not win. WAKE opens the season 21pt dog in Raleigh on a Saturday night. During the week Lou says if we can't beat Wake we can't beat anyone. Well Wake is up 30--22 with the ball and a minute to go, my buddy is split wide to NC State side and turns to Lou and says, "F*** U, Lou" and HOLTZ goes ballistic.
