  • my spar session earlier ended with me getting kneed to the balls, lesson of the night...make sure who your sparring knows what hes doing.

  • great spar guys

  • I keep watching this video and all i have to say is, this is the way partners are suppose to spar. You're not suppose to try to beat the crap out of your training partner, you're suppose to sharpen each other's technique so you both can grow. My trainer fought in lumpinee and held a record of 11-2 in thailand. This is the way you're suppose to spar with your partner.

  • ogladajac ten sparing trace wiare ze Muay Thai jest najbrdziej brutalnym sportem walki. Dno

  • These tiny old guys remind me of two seniors doing Thai Chi-Muay thai LoL

  • So many peopleon YouTube suddenly turn into professional fighting coaches when watching videos like this. It's so funny.

  • Fuck they're both scarred. 16 ounce gloves guys...

  • Your footwork is lack

  • pochylona postawa, zebra odsloniete, pchane ciosy ... moglibyscie napisac poradnik "czego nie robic"

  • oh man they suck

  • Can you guy's tell me what was the song playin ?

  • you guys suck.

  • @Blahb27 if you take those shin guards of it would be better for the fighter evre herd of conditioning ??

  • watch?v=bVVkOloZDck&feature=related take a look at that video!! stop saying stupid shit about my sport cuz I'm in love with it! watch and learn! That's some real MT training, if you still have some time check out the tiger muay thai channel! I´m sure you will learn real muay thai out of those vids! Or if you have the money... just come and join me in thailand!

  • am i mistaken or is that hubeda? if so... then this is real sparring XD

  • really good stance

  • Watch the video reply i posted.... thats real sparring!!!

  • I practice box, so I will like to practise MB too. Do the defence have to that open and up.

  • at 0:39 you should cut kick his left leg.

  • my instructor will kill me if I kick like that

  • nice i need one to one time

  • LOL

  • The one in the white top has a powerful kick (y) :)

  • footwork need work

  • nice sparring

  • in a real fight they wont last long i know this is only a sparring match but damn thats pathetic

  • they cant fight !

  • @taistosthlm can you do better?

  • I used to spar like that til I trained in thailand. Take off those shin guards, rotate ur hips, clinch more and drop the fear. U have to get hit hard and feel it in order to perform well in a fight. Good luck guys!

  • @Arreffone No shin pads means injuries, means bad performance in a fight. Everybody trains with shin pads on, except people who can't afford them.

Endurance training is something you'll have done well before a fight, when any injuries you might sustain will have had time to heal. Besides, it may not be legal to clinch for these guys. When you're going to fight normal kickboxing rules, it's almost pointless to train clinching.

  • @Arreffone I never found it to be a problem. Actually the nerves don't go dead (if that happened, you'd be paralysed), but they just reduce the endings a little and get it used to being struck. I think I felt like the skin also hardens a little more, cuts and bruises became less frequent for me anyway. Most of the shin conditioning is mental, and to be honest, with all that adrenaline you don't feel it anyway.

  • @Blahb27 Then why the name of the video "muay thai sparring" when this is supposed to be a Kickboxing sparring... Kicking technique SUCKS!!! boxing technique SUCKS!! then?? dude, even the "muay thai" stand is not even close to a muay thai stand!! You don't see Buakaw bouncing around... you don't see Yodsanklai with his guard down before kicking.. you don´t see a muay thai sparring without knees or elbows! If you like MT then don't disgrase my sport saying this is the way 2 do it.. MT PRO Fighter

  • @leny2289 The terms muai thai and kickboxing are often misused. The athletes sparring in this video are very fast paced, primarily boxing oriented. Besides, the uploader's from Germany. This lead me to assume they're practising kickboxing, and the video is just mislabelled, the kickboxing scene in Germany is much bigger than traditional muai thai.

Besides, kickboxing is much more fun than traditional, slow paced boring muai thai. If I want to exchange midkicks for 25 minutes, I'll say so.

  • @Blahb27 true but in muay thai not... kick boxing crap rules muay thai the way to go

  • @Blahb27 true. people who say: "i don't use protections" are so fucking gay.

  • @Arreffone

you never trained in thailand (siam) ... maybe you trained in a camp for tourists...!

  • Not bad at all guys, keep up the training!

  • wher is just one good boxing combo ?

  • You know your not supposed to use a belay room to do Thai in, the flooring is not the best as you've noticed. And btw, first time sparing? Looks like two mouses fighting over cheese.

  • strange floor

  • Not Enough Rotation In The Hips For Muay Thai Looks More Like Karate

  • could be better =p

  • Looking good boys:)

  • them floor must be slippery as hell

  • Nice control guys.

  • The one in white seems much more experienced and technically proficient, his techniques just have that flow to them

  • Keep training hard guys

  • good

  • good pace

  • muay thai? can´t see knee´s or elbows...

  • @Aiiphaton Well, you're not trying to kill your partner. Especially when you have a fight to train for. Using knees and elbows crack ribs and cause cuts and should be used lightly. It just depends on the gym though. Look up some Chute Boxe vids if you want to see all out muay thai. They try to kill one another. LOL

  • nice combos!

  • Damn you guys need to work on checking the kicks there were no blocks if this were a fight your leg would be destroyed. Also when you catch the kick you can't eat the Kick and catch you have to move with the kick slide to the side while you catch.

  • good spar boys. this is the kind of sparing we do in my gym but every other person takes it to far and it basicly ends up like there in a world tittle fight lol trying to show off gets you nowhere . keep up the good work.

  • GET A RING IT'S NOT KARATE! ;)

  • nice sparring. very constructive. Wai

  • good guard, nice combos and counters, cool

  • this looks so much better... the guy i train with so far just beats the shit outta me lol.

  • Good sparring guys

  • que entrenen mas que le van a dar duro que malos que son en españa hay mas nivel

  • the guy with the grey shirt has weeaak stance, if he was up against a thai guy he'd be finished.

  • I started training muay thai 2 months ago. How much power you putting on those punches and kicks? when we go sparring they go really hard at me. I couldnt practice my technique. is that good or bad?

  • @markie459 Lol that is bad. You need a partner who is not trying to beat you hard. You cannot better your stance, form, and power if they keep beating you and not giving you a chance to try your new combos. In our camp, we literally just tap each other when we learn new stuff and only get serious a good two weeks into the new drill.

  • Comment removed

  • @assit2 tell me about it! not learning much really, havent got a chance to try out some new combos! lol

  • @markie459 thats bad dude sparring is to help both you and your partner practice technique combos foot work etc. not to injure each other when they go at you hard utilize your teep kick and dont allow them in.

  • @x98sdime i know mate. i started training muay thai to improve my standing, been training mma and bjj. on sparring day sometimes i wanted to take them down and pull a submission! haha

  • i love muay thai

  • this is shit.. absolute shit im not even 18 and i can say this is shit u guys need to slow down the sparing for awhile and learn some better head movement when u throw ur punches

  • that was a nice sparring

  • @wygrzanko this looks like K-1 or kickboxing, not muay thai, they move in cercles.

  • Great Sparring match, nice receive & deliver contacts

  • You guys need to relax and work more on your defense. You've got a good pace and are going at the right power level but almost every single shot you guys throw gets in and some of them I'm not sure if you could've put power behind them if you'd tried. Probablybe better if you slowed it down and worked on making sure that every technique was thrown correctly and that you made a proper effort to block/parry/evade and counter.

  • Good fight, very good defends, this is kick boxing.:)

  • that was apefect sparring not to strong and not boring just like sparring spous to be

saw other guys on youtube beat the crap out of each other

    like idiots

  • I'm 15, and im in hapkido. I'm the youngest in there so me and the 2nd degree are the only people that can take a hit to the face. everybody else will get hit and stop, i wish the people in there were more like these guys when we spar :)

  • Its actually more fun to watch sparring IMO, because you dont get the more "careful" moves, when your not using 100% force :)

  • Well done guys some good sparring, nice clean strikes and tight guards.

  • nice thai kicks, were do you buy your thai shorts?

  • Comment removed

  • fuck the guys skills level i just love it. after 6 monts of training i can kick some random night-street-ass for sure. but in this video i don't see hip rotation on kicks, front/push kicks, knee strikes and even clinches (elbows in daily sparring is a bullshit so u'r right that u don't use it. besides, i think you guys need more high kicks to the faces :D, and finally the backfists punches. anyway, well done and keep it up!!!

  • Not one push kick, not one check???

  • aww you guys train on wood floor thats commitement.

this is good sparring you practice fast but not doing knockout power how sparring is best done.

  • its an okay sparring, but what about knees and elbows?

try to bring them in too, dont be afraid to fight in close distance since knees and elbows are very effective and painful

also im missing the front kick

never saw one single front kick. use it to keep distance and in offensive move to set up a round house kick.

  • Check out video jack and Tom sparring muay thai jack is only 15

  • How hard of contact is muay thai sparring normaly? didn't look like much to me. Hopefuly joinin a gym soon and i was picturing muay thai as having about the same contact sparring as real fights vs. my karate class where hitting hard got you a penalty

  • Nice : )

  • true...

  • guy in grey is gooood.

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent display of the Art. Very Nice.

  • perfect intensity at the sparring.

  • for muay shouldnt u were knee and elbow pads too because i know had bad thoose strikes can hurt

  • Relax!!

  • The guy in the white was always looking to catch kicks. Im not sure if he checked any leg kicks. I find it helps to mix up the defense just like ur offense. Nice vid!

  • lol, anyone else noticing how the kicks get harder and harder? This happens when im sparring too... and then i broke my feet. gg

  • @TheBagellord kick with your shin is MT lesson nr 1

  • camera shakes so much

  • awesome!

  • das hat nix mit muay thai am hut!!

die machen keine richtigen combos, die wissen nicht einmal wie man die schläge pariert.

wenn die mädels noch etwas üben kann es ja in 1-2 jahren mal muay thai werden

  • im training with 16 oz. why u train with 10 oz ?

  • that was really nice =D

  • Are u guys using 14 oz or 16 oz?

  • @AlienUnibrow we use 10oz.

  • @xgermanicox 10oz LOL I'm 170lbs and they don't allow me to use anything less than 16oz. That guys looks big so that might be a little unfair LOL. Are you guys going full force? The kicks look it but the hands I'm not sure...

  • @dannielpreto Depends on the level contact, I'm about your weight and sport 12oz gloves for light contact sparring. For going at it harder I'd aim for something bigger though.

And no, it doesn't look like they are going at it full contact.

  • @xgermanicox why 10 oz are you guy planing on knocking someopne out lol....

we are using 16 oz and 12 as the smallest.....

  • @xgermanicox arnt you meant to use 16 oz ? whats the difference in the first place ?

  • @xgermanicox dont you think 10oz would hurt more?

  • @xgermanicox Why tho arn't 16oz used for sparring

  • @xgermanicox 10 is best

  • @xgermanicox lol man your supposed to use at least 14oz, you get stronger using heavier gloves

  • @xgermanicox I've been kickboxing for years now and I always use 16oz for training and sparring! 10oz mitts are good for focus pads and heavy bag, but are not supposed to be used for sparring! Cheers!

  • You can grab in muay Thai i never knew i am thai actually and i want to take this it seems intresting anyone give a summarized version of muay thai?

  • remove the shin guard

  • I agree with Remanabera. That's the point of the sparring - learning without beating the hell out of the other guy.

  • How does this video have 22,000 views?

  • Get those shins up ladies, you guys would have a bunch of cracked ribs right now in a real thai fight. Hip rotation with the kicks.

  • You seem cool and really know what you are talking about. I'm trying to get better at the spiral muay thai roundhouse kick, but the hip rotation aspect is kinda lost on me. I pivot pretty hard but not sure if i leaning back or forward will help with my hip rotation..any advice or drills you can recommend to me mate?

  • u need more balance and more moves . and blocks are not so god . keep practicing

  • Muy bueno!!

  • beautiful sparring! nice and clean! wtg

  • hey you guys do on wood too? i find it fucks up the bottom of my feet..

  • you´re right... thats our problem too... ;-)

  • @italianchriswilko100 tell me about it i have calasis on my big toe and upper foot like crazy from sparring on wood floors

  • @italianchriswilko100 Medical tape under the forfoot and big toe will help avoid that

  • Comment removed

  • My point above

  • Good sparring! not wise to train on wood though..

  • whats wrong with sparring on wood

  • Uhh...should be obvious. Most people use padding on the ground to spar. If your on wood you take a much higher risk of getting hurt if it goes to the ground.

  • you guys are alright but work on your roundhouses!

  • nOT BAD FELLAS. NICE WORK! KEEP IT UP.

  • good sparing but work more on round kicks.

  • awsome session

  • i noticed that they kind of neglected to use there hands but it was a good session

  • I would've loved to see more punch combinations.

When the other guy is firmly protecting his head throughout the match, go for a bodyshot once in a while, mix it up just to make him guess what you'll do next.

  • may i please have the name of the shinguards the guy in the white singlte is wearing?

  • they are nationman shinguards...

  • Yeah. Nationman. Best kind of seen. I got some too.

  • 5 *****

  • I had my first sparring today. Man, my left leg got kicked at the same spot twice and i couldn't stand properly. And the kicks weren't that hard either, is it an infection in leg or something? It's been like 5 hours now since it happend and it's starting to wear off but still! Right then i couldn't put any weight on it. Maybe he hit a muscle or something

  • probably hit a nerve, no worries.

  • You might have weak quads.

  • It's all good now. It was an inflammation in the muscle

  • hehe welcome to muay thai bro!

  • The guy in the white singlet should be cycling to right so that the grey guy is always out of range for his rear cross

  • cant you guys never watch a movie instead of acting like some kind of 'experts' etc

    sad really

  • good to see people who actually understand sparring is to benefit you and your partner's technique.... not to land shots and run. Well done gentlemen.

  • @dripz666 your right in a way, sparring also involves conditioning and being able to take hits to prepare you for the real thing. Theres light and heavy sparring etc

  • Very good training. In control at all times but still using the right amount of force to feel it.

  • nice sparring but you need to use more front kicks ..if you are in a competition and you dont use enough front kicks they take off some points...

  • its funny how ppl on youtube are always commenting shit like "good, good, BUT YOU NEED TO DO THIS, YOU NEED TO DO THAT" like if they are. STFU man, im sure you can't even raise you leg over your opponents waist. youaintkeepitreal

  • Its funny how people like you talk shit online.

  • Its funny how you take it personally. It always make me laugh when i see ppl like you commenting on something that they don't know nothing at all. Peace.

  • Apparently you know nothing of me so you shouldn't make conclusions before getting your facts straight.

  • well, what i know is that you dont know muay thai because front kick is useless in muay thai and there is no points in competition.

  • No points in competition?hahaha

  • no, not in muay thai. Your are talking Tae kwon my friend LOL

  • If there's no points then how do you win if no one gets knocked out?The front kick is equal to a jab(in boxing) so your supposed to use it more often. Like the competitions they deduct POINTS off you if you use too much elbows.

  • front kick are only used as a counter attack in muay thai. thanks

  • Front kick is used for everything...And there is points.

  • Nice combinations in the end

2 days ago i had sparring with some guy - he kicked my ass!

my head was killing me for 2 days

  • Nice spar

  • You two are pretty evenly matched.

  • hard sparring can come in handy

but soft sparring comes in handy 2

hard sparring can acctualy get u tough

    and practise ur techniques

soft sparring is for practicing ur techniques with a little "i dont want to get hurt in mind"

if ur a fighter u will get hurt some day

but thier both good either way

but when i say hard sparring i dont mean

hit ur sparring partner in the throat or anything but i think u know what i mean lol

  • WTF is that suppose the mean? please make the humanity a favor and STFU!

  • you´re right, on another day...

  • This looks liek ,kick boxing to me. Where is the clinch, knees, front kicks?

  • you dont use knees in sparring...

  • nice sparring!

and zanta1337, sparring doesn´t mean kicking the living daylights out of your sparring PARTNER!!!
