The mission is over, all soldiers have their own version of their part of this war, I say from this point forward we should consider what is going on these sites and look at everyones effort in the victory. People get upset when anyone gets any recognition for their actions and assume the person who is being recognized is the one who is doing it, in this case the soldier spoke of which I know has asked for this to be taken down and has asked for all to be recognized. Facts are facts move on.

The best thing would be to have a formal public investigation into this and everything being mentioned on these videos, instead of petty comments lets get it on record and in a court. Bring all of it in the open show the videos, pictures, documentation, take statements and just let the chips fall where they may and for sure hold all accountable for their actions or lack of, the good and the bad, reward the good and punish the bad, but for sure do something besides just make nasty comments.

Setting the record straight, I am no hero and never will anyone ever find me saying I was, truth is the unit I went to war with "trans" had a struggle period its normal but what is not normal is just turning a blind eye and letting people get wounded and killed and do nothing about it! if I sat on my hands like some officers did would that be ok? The soldiers of the 518th did a fantatsic job all 63 of them, I was honored to lead them and embelishment is generaly a statement used by people who are either envious or have some sort of axe to grind with a person. No problem, the National Guard and Reserve have contributed much to this war and continue to serve honorable and heroic. I had 6 soldiers get Purple Hearts on our one Gun Truck alone at different times in different battles. Yes the Guard does do much more than just sit on their tails and that is a fact. He is who he said he is. I think he is not understanding is that you are making a video from lots of little pictures. For the Record the IED Attack occured February 18 2004. The incident he speaks of the accident was determined to be a result of enemy sending these three soldiers on a flight. The BS is that these three soldiers did not receive a PH for their wounds. It is interesting to note that a soldier got hit by a rock thrown from an overpass and he received a Purple Heart now thats BS.

I would agree that some officers shafted the soldiers however you may want to research this one, you may be surprised at what you find. Not all officers are bad some actually lead from the front and take the pain for their troops. I think this guy has 3 Purple hearts? Perhaps he scratched his ass in the shower? or maybe multiple Gun Shot wounds defending convoys from the Gunners Hatch?
