  • agree 100%, the Roots were the best performers I have ever seen live, not just playing their own tunes, but all the covers and random jamming makes it so great. True talent!

  • check out his cover of Kool G Rap's 'Men at Work'.. he kills it

  • Noone can touch the roots live!

  • The Roots live is unbelievable. 1st time i met Knuckles and Cptn Kirk...so it was a huge bonus. the 2nd time i was 3 rows from the stage, and when they were done i walked up and somehow got to shake Black Thoughts hand....later that night, Erykah Badu walked into audience while singing....and she walked up to me, and took my hand so i could help her stand ontop of my seat lol....it was great. very cool show.

  • MAn i was there too...

  • damn i gotta see the roots live!

  • best concert i've ever seen in my life. So much fun. My brother knocks me cus i've seen them 3 times but i say fuck it. It'd be stupid to pass them up when they come to town.

  • Best live performers in hip hop, hands down. nuff said. Would see them a million more times.

  • im pretty sure all the dudes in the roots can sing/play whatever they want.

Either way this is a damn good jam. This is why I love the roots. They live up to their name.

  • yeah they can do anythik they like! I saw them play abit of Led Zep and then when into some 70's funk one of the best bands live

  • dude, this is exactly what i love about the roots so much. their studio work has produced one great hip hop album after another...and then you see them live, which is when you realize what geniuses they are. i saw them at bonnaroo 07 and it was indescribably amazing. theyve created this wonderful jazz/hip hop fusion that i know i'll be seeing again

  • all the Roots went to a performing arts school here in Philly. no doubt he can sing.

  • Without a doubt, the most talented on stage rap performer, although that isn't saying much. Definitely a top MC though.
