At this moment in history, people of Europe, SSA, and Canada are not complaining because the majority of them are enjoying the free money provided to them by their tyrannical governments who steal from the people by counterfeiting. That paridigm is about to end. Since you do not seem to be a well read person, try expanding your knowledge base by reading a book called "When Money Dies". THE current bill is not the answer ,,,does not address proper Tort Reform, "undocumented" access for expensive non-life threatening HC , & does not probide MOST IMPORTANTLY an OPT OUT Provision for those that believe it is still too bloated with waste & inefficiencies resulting in inflated premiums not in keeping with services provided.
....A mandate stuffed inside a trojan horse bill for HC is a skunk in the road...too stupid to debate...

Our Government today is not all about PROTECTING our RIGHTS - They are all about CONTOL. Taking rights AWAY from citizens. Our Medical system is over run with ABUSE. People wanting to get a free check from the government are claiming disabilities they don't have. Our Seniors have PAID into "the system" their whole lives - and are getting the short end of the stick now. Government - is Taking away medical provisions that THEY deserve.

Its those of us in the middle class who suffer because our insurers are already springloaded to eject us when our bills pass a predetermined level. Under Clinton there was game changing reform. Welfare rolls were slashed and can never return to the massive levels of Reagan and Bush 1. Ever think maybe that if people are healthy and educated, maybe they can get a good job and never even want welfare? BTW the people giving unnecessary treatments were abusing "cadillac" private healthcare plans not govt plans which don't even offer "massage". I watched that Dateline NBC too. As a mother you should care more about kids than the rich.

Also, AARP isn't just for retired people anymore. It's a group for people 50+. In fact, they've had a push lately to just go by AARP and ignore the old meaning of the acronym.

If the health insurers spent more money meeting their obligations to their customers and less on commercials riling up the poor white serfs to teabag for their rich feudal lords, we wouldn't be insulting each other right now.

There was a study done, well more like a poll, asking people from different countries how happy they were and why. It so happens that in Norway your are entitled to six paid weeks of vacation, and the fact that you don't have to worry about not affording to pay for your health makes it a happy place to live. Have you ever lived Norway, I'll admit I haven't, but it you haven't I don't see how your credible in arguing its a TERRIBLE place to live. I wouldn't call Norway marxist but more socialist.

They don't, except in cherry picked areas. Those interviews show happy people yes but I can show you just as many unhappy people. Every single one of those countries has had to cut services due to cost. They are all bankrupt of close to it.
