ure first attack run was standard and okai but the short turn made ure 2nd totally useless and ure lucky u didnt died. There are rules dude: if u dont have to worry about radar detection u fligh as high as u can cause ground troops can shut u down if u come along. u need altitude for an attack run and if u do it straight down u cant get hit from ure target. think about what u are doing and what others will do if they see u.
@AnelorGalor The second run was adjusted for movement, and was good as a killing blow- his mech was crippled. Flying high is a terrible idea in this, lategame; Anyone in a dedicated AA vehicle will swat you in seconds if you don't have a terrain-based cover and escape plan. I prefer this style of low-flying CAS, and it has served me well. My target rarely if ever hits me because coming straight on, I present a very narrow target, and have a larger direct-impact area than if I were divebombing.
@budokai140 Truth be told, I've never taken notice of that before. I assume it refers to the EMP effects of some events (like that critical core) and weapons (like head damage and, I believe, PPCs) that can disable nightvision, among other things.
