I recall watching the 2004 DNC and being GLUED to the tv when watching an unknown (to me) Barack Obama...I remember whispering outloud to myself, "I have just seen this country's first black president." and smiling deeply. I told everyone I knew about him and no one had ever heard of him.....well, they do now!!

Oh, and the fact that a woman like Joan Baez supports him makes me so proud!

I remember that too - and feeling that way. I just never thought it would be so soon. but it is soooooooooo wonderful.

I did like the men one better. Maybe because I am getting a lot of crap from my family that the way I feel about Barack is b/c he is a HOT BLACK MAN instead of a truly great inspirational leader that we have not seen the likes of in far too long.
