reminds me of our 8 year old dog who left us. he was on IV you know those movie lines "if you can't handle it anymore, just go. i love you". i said that to him and he died few minutes after. it seemed so easy to say, but it was very very hard. i miss him everyday.

it could be described as a romantic comedy but it doesn't fall under the cliché of the perfect life; jen and john have a normal relationship with ups and downs, the kids could not be cuter, the dog causes mayhem and although you see the end of the dog's life, more importantly you see the beautiful memories it's left behind :).
and this is why on the 6th of june my family and i will be collecting our little yellow lab puppy... called marley

i watched this last night and couldn't stop crying! the ending was way too sad, it reminded me of the hundreds of dogs who had to end their lives this way. at least the dog in this movie (even though the dog that plays marley is still alive) had a good life. Some dogs have to live in puppy mills... :( i think i'm gonna cry again...
i have got an chocolate labrador called rolo who is 13 years old,he was my first ever dog, he cant walk now due to arhiritis which is so heart breaking,waching marley and me brought back so many memorys of rolo,he escaped 4 times,he chewd coun tless pairs of shoes and laundary,demolished antique chairs,he cried allnight until he could be with me,i have been told the end of the film is upseting,so i havent wached the ending yet,cant belive i will have to let him go soon :(

Why did they open this movie on christmas? Not exactly a feel good movie on the holidays, way too sad. I watched it while my girl was still alive and I couldnt bare the thought of losing her. Now that shes passed, the only thing I can imagine is her in some sort of pup heaven, created exclusively for dogs who love to run, EAT, sleep and eat some more.

I cried so bad at the end of this movie, the tears kept on coming. Following a dog through it's life, seeing how everything is funny, happy times, and great, it suddenly turns out he becomes weak, and in the end dies. I got this really sad chill on my back when he got weak, and when he died, i cried one helluvalot. Best and most sad movie i have ever seen, it really ended sad though, making me cry! D;. GREAT MOVIE THOUGH! If you haven't seen it's recomended from here to the end of the world!

WARNING!! This movie is pathetic. It was sold to kids, as a feel good, funny, dog lover movie. In the end, the dog is euthanized while the entire audience cries! I saw kids, on Christmas day, walking out of this pathetic movie in tear!!! How shameful. They deliberately marketed the movie falsely... just to make a few bucks. Let me step back and say the movie itself is not bad. But the marketing of it was shameful and pathetic. Even adults were in tears. Which is fine IF that is what you expect!!

I saw this movie a few times and for me being a dude it really made me cry alot. Now some of you might think oh this kid is gay or he has no life. well its just the way i feel about this move saying i had it happen to me 5 times in my life and seeing one of my best dogs put to sleep in front of me what i was 5. I can remember it like it was yesterday and all i can say is I love watching this movie seeing familys and dogs connect so well. May all dogs rest in peace and go on to a better place.

reminds me of our 8 year old dog who left us. he was on IV you know those movie lines "if you can't handle it anymore, just go. i love you". i said that to him and he died few minutes after. it seemed so easy to say, but it was very very hard. i miss him everyday.

alright i full out sobbed when i watched this movie. up till like the last 10-15 minutes were fine but then i lost it! omgg when owen willson is talking to the dog at the end... ahh so sad. amazing moviee tho! it was wicked cute.

i fell in love with this film!
it could be described as a romantic comedy but it doesn't fall under the cliché of the perfect life; jen and john have a normal relationship with ups and downs, the kids could not be cuter, the dog causes mayhem and although you see the end of the dog's life, more importantly you see the beautiful memories it's left behind :).
and this is why on the 6th of june my family and i will be collecting our little yellow lab puppy... called marley

OK it wasn't #1 movie of 2009. I thought it would be comedy but no it was good Comedy/Drama/Romance. Besides Marley (what a sweetie), Owen Wilson looked fantastic. He mixed comedy and dramatic acting. It was brilliant. The ending was sad but none of us is long-live.

i watched this last night and couldn't stop crying! the ending was way too sad, it reminded me of the hundreds of dogs who had to end their lives this way. at least the dog in this movie (even though the dog that plays marley is still alive) had a good life. Some dogs have to live in puppy mills... :( i think i'm gonna cry again...

i have got an chocolate labrador called rolo who is 13 years old,he was my first ever dog, he cant walk now due to arhiritis which is so heart breaking,waching marley and me brought back so many memorys of rolo,he escaped 4 times,he chewd coun tless pairs of shoes and laundary,demolished antique chairs,he cried allnight until he could be with me,i have been told the end of the film is upseting,so i havent wached the ending yet,cant belive i will have to let him go soon :(

I definitely cried a lot too, even though I'm way past 13. So younger kids might not handle it well
I have a dog and after the movie I couldn't help but hug him and keep him in my arms.

Why did they open this movie on christmas? Not exactly a feel good movie on the holidays, way too sad. I watched it while my girl was still alive and I couldnt bare the thought of losing her. Now that shes passed, the only thing I can imagine is her in some sort of pup heaven, created exclusively for dogs who love to run, EAT, sleep and eat some more.

man's best friend a dog is... if i lost everything and had to live under a bridge in the cold, my dog would be sitting right next to me..... can't say that about a woman.... you know a woman would be gone.
reason a dog is a man's best friend, LOYAL, and they don't have to say they care, they always show it. they can keep your secret, never bad mouth you, and will always stick with you no matter what

i disagree with that,.dis movie is good for kids its bcoz they treat Marley like their family member,.d kids loved Marley so much bcoz Marley gave them joy and happiness,.u can really feel their love towards the dog,.and Marley gave it to them in return.When Marley died you can feel the pain of their oldest son its bcoz he really loved Marley,.This movie gives the kids a lesson to treat the animals well especially those pets in their house or neighborhood,.,

Im a guy and ill admit I cried during this movie.
I was keeping a straight face till that little girl gave marley her stuffed animal.
Then I lost it. That was the sadest scene of the movie imo

I cried so bad at the end of this movie, the tears kept on coming. Following a dog through it's life, seeing how everything is funny, happy times, and great, it suddenly turns out he becomes weak, and in the end dies. I got this really sad chill on my back when he got weak, and when he died, i cried one helluvalot. Best and most sad movie i have ever seen, it really ended sad though, making me cry! D;. GREAT MOVIE THOUGH! If you haven't seen it's recomended from here to the end of the world!

WARNING!! This movie is pathetic. It was sold to kids, as a feel good, funny, dog lover movie. In the end, the dog is euthanized while the entire audience cries! I saw kids, on Christmas day, walking out of this pathetic movie in tear!!! How shameful. They deliberately marketed the movie falsely... just to make a few bucks. Let me step back and say the movie itself is not bad. But the marketing of it was shameful and pathetic. Even adults were in tears. Which is fine IF that is what you expect!!

I saw this movie a few times and for me being a dude it really made me cry alot. Now some of you might think oh this kid is gay or he has no life. well its just the way i feel about this move saying i had it happen to me 5 times in my life and seeing one of my best dogs put to sleep in front of me what i was 5. I can remember it like it was yesterday and all i can say is I love watching this movie seeing familys and dogs connect so well. May all dogs rest in peace and go on to a better place.

I think this movie could of been really good if they didnt cast Jennifer and Owen. I mean seriously??? Out of all the actors, you put these two in a very compelling worth while true story? Theyre not bad actors, they just dont fit the role, considering theyre in comedies, I cant take them seriously
