And chabadoogi, I'm not trying to put you down or anything. But if you guys can do some of the stuff I've seen you do on Rock Band, the dexterity & coordination & note recognition, you'd probably do well with a real guitar. I've never quite understood how you can strum a bass guitar. This song rocks, but the bassist is handles the thing like a rhythm guitar, pick and all.
But let someone tell me sth about the band. I really like them, know five albums but who was a vocalist and who was front-guitarist? Jack Blades is who? That man playing guitar, yeah? And what's the name oof drummer who sings in many of NR tracks? Thx..
Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson are both lead guitarists in my book, Jack Blades is the lead singer (usually) and the bass player, the drumer is Kelly Keagy, and I forget the keyboardist's name. And yeah, they kick ass!
I think the dad is supposed to be a general or something who refuses to let her daughter listen to rock music? Maybe a metaphor for overprotective parents?
The solo is not as fast as you would think. He is using an 8 finger hammer and pull off. He is hitting 8 notes every second. It is actually rather easy to do. Brad Gillis is using a lot of tremlo. in his solo.
jeff watson is the only guy I've ever seen do eight finger tapping although I guess others have done it he was the first and only one I've seen so far.
What are you talkin about, socialism? Do you not like having fire departments, police, roads, bridges, ect? All those things "we the people" choose to fund, in order to make our lives better.. Why can't basic health care be part of that? We would be paying for it after all.
All taxpayers already pay for health care in America. Taxpayers pay for every single uninsured person that cannot pay their medical bills. That cost gets transferred to the US government. And we pay for this in the MOST EXPENSIVE way. That's why we need health care reform. Americans pay 650 billion dollars more for health care than they should be paying based on the services returned, compared to other countries.
I agree we need healthcare reform. however I don't want the government telling me what i can eat and when i can eat it. the government just wants control of everything, therefore our true freedoms are being taken away, and nobody notices that..... yet but the time is coming, you are correct in saying that "we the people" choose to fund these things, but "we the people" and "the Government" are 2 different groups.
If we dont manage to save our radio, you realize the artists will not get a bloody cent from the tax It goes to the 'record" labels, most of all are not even in the USA.
I dont recongnize Obama as President anyway. He is there illegally. The only good thing about him though is the fact that it should be a very very long time before intelligent Americans make the same mistake twice before voting a democrat back into the white house.
You don't know anything about the genre, then. New Wave is DIRECTLY a subgenre of rock and emerged out of punk, but evolved as time went on to a more synth-based form of pop rock. In addition, many synth pop bands are also "new wave" for some reason, so that's probably what you're thinking about.
This song has pop-ish lyrics, a catchy synth beat, AND is pollished, but with glam metal/hard rock riffs and (somewhat) imagery. So therefore, the sensibility!!!
I have Don't Tell Me You Love Me, this song, Sister Christian, Sentimental Street, and When You Close Your Eyes on my iPod. The best part of my playlist!
I'm pretty sure that honor belongs to either the Beatles or Queen. NR definitely is up there with those legends, though. Shame not many people know about them.
maybe but the beatles weren't exactly talented musicians as night ranger you can't get much better i hate queen but i admire there musicianship and night ranger one of my favorite bands i love them i never get bored listening to them
Emily, if you like NR, be sure to also check out Janes Addiction, Warrior Soul, The Cult, Danzig, early Guns and Roses, WASP, Skid Row, and for heavier stuff, Prong, Pantera and Ministry.

NightRanger is soooooo, was sooooooooo underrated, that sucks, just like Europe was really underrated, i bet most peopLe don't even know Europe is from sweden,.............id luv to see Europe and NightRanger together, two similar bands with powerful rock energy, each unique, yet kindred,......really, i guess its good more attention wasnt given to them, cause then critics, etc. would just try to fuck them up,........these bands both equally fucking rock, thanks guys for the music, keep rocking!
Jack Blades, if that was really you commenting, Thank you for having such an awesome band!! Thank you also for giving us some of the best 80's music ever!!!!
Come to the show in Reno on August 31 Sunday at the Rib cook off! I'm not there agent I'm a HUGE fan and cant wait to see them live again! ROCK ON NIGHT RANGER!!!!!
I thought I was pretty ugly back then. Even more today. I still get kidded about my long hair while every one else in the band has a more "mature" short hair look. Thank you all for being some of the best fans in the World! YES! You Can Still Rock In America! Jack Blades
hey Jack! For some reason I believe this is you...your comments just sound like what you might say from interviews that I have seen of you (mind you, I haven't seen a ton). But your wife was right (we wives usually are...mmwahahha!) it is hard not to be a little skeptical. But, anyway, regardless, please know, you were HOT then and I saw video of you from 2008, and I have to say, the verdict is..still HOT. I'm sure your wife would agree, and remember, she knows what she's talking about!!! :) :)
na dude your music is great and trust me the youth of the 80s is way cooler than the youth now and i wasent even there i think the look should come back thats just my opinion yes evne the crazy red leather pants in this video your band mate is wearing hah keep rocking man help bring back the sound
Damn, if these guys were just uglier, poor dressers, stood still while they played, wrote simple, mediocre, bland songs, played with the skill of a high-school garage band after 3 lessons, and shot the video with a cheap camcorder, THEY'D BE SUPERSTARS right now!
haha, nice, its a shame that nobody understands it, but hey, you forgot a part. they have to be on disney! and talk about a fake love life and whine, or just scream about nothing stupid things.
Man, this song makes me hate rap and whatever it is they call rock nowadays even more. Out of the two, though, rap is the worst. Absolutely infantile....Anyway, hard rock and metal bands in the 80's had some pretty darn good musicians....Night Ranger could play with the best of 'em...
Great song but the naked guy in the tub and the two guys that look like and act like Will Ferrel in the cowbell skit makes me glad the 80s is over hehe.
Yeah but it's the same effect. People acting like freaks and doing things that are now considered gay but then were just people doing what though wilt and rebelling or whatever hehe. Night Ranger kind of kept the style of a lot of 70s songs and looks but the guitars and amps were following the EVH trend of louder and squeelier taparoni style music. Just kept getting better. But the people that direct videos were porn directors and music vids were side jobs or something.
Thankyou american dad!

That was a Blue Oyster Cult skit and they were portraying the 70's not the 80's

Yeah but it's the same effect. People acting like freaks and doing things that are now considered gay but then were just people doing what though wilt and rebelling or whatever hehe. Night Ranger kind of kept the style of a lot of 70s songs and looks but the guitars and amps were following the EVH trend of louder and squeelier taparoni style music. Just kept getting better. But the people that direct videos were porn directors and music vids were side jobs or something.
