  • Thankyou american dad!

  • 101% pure cheese !!! But sooo good... you got to love it !

    Bring back the 80's !!!

  • And chabadoogi, I'm not trying to put you down or anything. But if you guys can do some of the stuff I've seen you do on Rock Band, the dexterity & coordination & note recognition, you'd probably do well with a real guitar. Try it sometime, I'll bet you'll enjoy it more!!! I've been at it for years....it's a blast!!!

  • Waited for 2 years for this to come to Rock Band 2?????.....in two years you could have learned this on a real guitar.

  • For your information it takes way more than 2 years to be able to play this on real guitar. Dumbass

  • I hear a big rock ending happening.

    I am pumped.

  • THIS is coming to Rock Band 2?

Oh god this is going to be so fun.

  • its about fucking time we got some night ranger in rock band. Only took two friggin years!

  • Night Ranger pack is coming out on Rockband this Tues! Finally some good American 80's rock! Everyone with Rockband get it!

  • i knew this song would be beast because of the title, i cant wait till next week!

  • Damn song shreds!! Good lyrics too. Still true today, despite Obama.

  • @JackPhones: You are right, Obama licks balls, but this song still rocks.

    NOBAMA in 2012!

  • RB next week release!

  • Brad Gillis And Jeff Watson are two fucking bad ass guitarist. Very flashy !

  • Brad Gillis replaced Randy Rhodes in Ozzy's band after the plane crash, and Jeff Watson pioneered 8 finger tapping...yeah, they can fucking shred.

  • @RBW1122 Jonathan Cain, the keyboardist from Journey.

  • seen them in concert the guitar player is faster than dragon force man

  • seen these guys in baltimore civic center

i gott kicked outt 3 time and i made it back in everytime the guard caught me pissing janiters closet lmao those where the good days made it back in with the clean up group the sercrity guards kept saying how dose he keep getting in lmao 1998

  • jack blades fucking rocks

  • This is such a happy and powerful song!!

  • I love when American Dad used this song.

  • I've never quite understood how you can strum a bass guitar. This song rocks, but the bassist is handles the thing like a rhythm guitar, pick and all.

  • The difference between music today and back then is back then them boys could play.

  • So true man.

  • true

  • awesome song the vid is kinda cheezy

  • This song ruluuuules

  • KICK ASS!!!!

  • ahaha this video is too much even for me, and i SO love the 80s, lol

    Jack Blades rules

  • They fuckin' ROCK!!!

But let someone tell me sth about the band. I really like them, know five albums but who was a vocalist and who was front-guitarist? Jack Blades is who? That man playing guitar, yeah? And what's the name oof drummer who sings in many of NR tracks? Thx..

  • Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson are both lead guitarists in my book, Jack Blades is the lead singer (usually) and the bass player, the drumer is Kelly Keagy, and I forget the keyboardist's name. And yeah, they kick ass!

  • What was up with that matador, lol?

  • I think the dad is supposed to be a general or something who refuses to let her daughter listen to rock music? Maybe a metaphor for overprotective parents?

  • Great solo

  • Jack Blades !!

  • .....the part of the video is like in the WW1 or wwII, when they trying to stand the Flag of America...

  • Right, the raising of the U.S. flag on Iwo Jima during World War II.

  • oh man... ivgot a flexi disc of that...came in a guitar player ... like thousand years ago.... down here in brazil....

  • Bob Costas used to sing lead vocal in a rock band??

  • Is that Stephen Keaton on keyboards? (dad from Family Ties)

  • Great song, great band, aweful video. Thanks for posting it anyway it was nice to see it.

  • This song is meant to be played In my TRANS AM!

    ROCK THOSE MULLETS!

  • omg...thats my dream.. run over the usa in a 77' trans am with rock music on top

  • dang is this really the fsatest solo

  • The solo is not as fast as you would think. He is using an 8 finger hammer and pull off. He is hitting 8 notes every second. It is actually rather easy to do. Brad Gillis is using a lot of tremlo. in his solo.

  • jeff watson is the only guy I've ever seen do eight finger tapping although I guess others have done it he was the first and only one I've seen so far.

  • Well Steve Vai I think does it. I know Steve does at least 6 or 7

  • That's it, I'm buying a nightranger album now!

  • After 4 socialist yrs with Obama, this needs to be played at the Republican Nat'l Convention!!!!!

    That'll get the masses pumped!!!!

  • What are you talkin about, socialism? Do you not like having fire departments, police, roads, bridges, ect? All those things "we the people" choose to fund, in order to make our lives better.. Why can't basic health care be part of that? We would be paying for it after all.

  • All taxpayers already pay for health care in America. Taxpayers pay for every single uninsured person that cannot pay their medical bills. That cost gets transferred to the US government. And we pay for this in the MOST EXPENSIVE way. That's why we need health care reform. Americans pay 650 billion dollars more for health care than they should be paying based on the services returned, compared to other countries.

  • exactly, the government gets the transferred cost back, not the people who actually pay extra for the illegals

  • I agree we need healthcare reform. however I don't want the government telling me what i can eat and when i can eat it. the government just wants control of everything, therefore our true freedoms are being taken away, and nobody notices that..... yet but the time is coming, you are correct in saying that "we the people" choose to fund these things, but "we the people" and "the Government" are 2 different groups.

  • amen

  • wow its hard to do some rock in america .with out the po pos busting in on the action

  • that was so gay

  • nice rock on

  • If we dont manage to save our radio, you realize the artists will not get a bloody cent from the tax It goes to the 'record" labels, most of all are not even in the USA.

  • good old melodic rock-its the way music should be!

  • Keep rockin' before the Govt starts taxing it too!

  • that song was on the last episode of The Drew Carey Show.

  • Corny 80s vid but awesome tune!

  • Yeah! When America could still ROCK!!!

Danm Jonas Brother & Miley Cyrus! Their not fit to carry out Night Ranger's garbage!!!

  • Amen.

  • doesn't kelly keagy look like larry from three's company .....

  • Unfortunatley you cant rock In Obamas America

  • Plainly, you're a mongoloid.

  • Couldnt agree with you more

  • Lmao your name rocks.

  • theyr'e gonna-- rock it-- Rock It --ROCK IIITTTT!!!!!

  • Yes you can still, ROCK IN AMERICA!

  • JEff and Brad two AMAZING GUITARISTS!

  • Very Good Shit!

  • good shit

  • Kick-arse song! It's glam metal with New Wave sensibility!!!

  • what new wave sensibilty is in that? New Wave was never about Rock.

  • You don't know anything about the genre, then. New Wave is DIRECTLY a subgenre of rock and emerged out of punk, but evolved as time went on to a more synth-based form of pop rock. In addition, many synth pop bands are also "new wave" for some reason, so that's probably what you're thinking about.

This song has pop-ish lyrics, a catchy synth beat, AND is pollished, but with glam metal/hard rock riffs and (somewhat) imagery. So therefore, the sensibility!!!

  • 80s rule - great solos, unlike lots of angsty modern rockers, these guys could actually play.

  • I have Don't Tell Me You Love Me, this song, Sister Christian, Sentimental Street, and When You Close Your Eyes on my iPod. The best part of my playlist!

  • Thats the 100,642nd time I've heard this and it just gets better.

  • Probably because ur a little to young to understand the 80's....

  • Great song. Great group. But what is that background video about?

  • I'm with you i'm lost on the video lol

  • Haven't heard this tune in a long time. Still sounds great, especially the patriotic tone in the chorus. God Bless America!

  • awesome jam 80s still rock!!!

  • Just saw them in Tampa/Clearwater.....they can still Rock!!!

    Awesome concert

  • @sharimom: In America?

  • @Prestodigitation

    no in china lol

  • Does China even have rock n' roll?

  • no thats y i said it

  • This song gives me a hard on!!!

  • bet you can play drums and sing

  • Jack Blades, Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson!! It don't ROCK much better than that!!

  • I've seen em. Kelly Keagy is not lazy.

  • K I C K A S S !!!!

  • hell ya!!!!

  • i bet your sorry ass cannot sing and play drums at the same time

  • haha i was looking for this song for like half an hour

this song it's tight i just heard it like an hour ago on tv (yea i know im late watever..)

  • when I was 14 yrs old, living in the Bay Area....Night Ranger was the shit.

You could see them live at the San Jose Civic Auditorium of 6 bucks.

  • probably the best band in music history.

  • I'm pretty sure that honor belongs to either the Beatles or Queen. NR definitely is up there with those legends, though. Shame not many people know about them.

  • maybe but the beatles weren't exactly talented musicians as night ranger you can't get much better i hate queen but i admire there musicianship and night ranger one of my favorite bands i love them i never get bored listening to them

  • Dream Theater is in my opinion the best band to walk this earth.

  • Your opinion....

  • the who

  • I hope that 80"s style hard rock makes a come back!

  • i ove america!!

  • shit , i just learned about this band today by my social teacher, and i'm obsessed with them..

    AHHH

  • Emily, if you like NR, be sure to also check out Janes Addiction, Warrior Soul, The Cult, Danzig, early Guns and Roses, WASP, Skid Row, and for heavier stuff, Prong, Pantera and Ministry.

  • Haha, I wish my social studies teacher had a name like "Destroyerofsouls666" Skid Row \../

  • True story...some neo-conservative prick wrote me, telling me that my name is offensive and that I should change it. He basically insinuated that I'm going to hell. OH WELL! LOL!!!

"Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven"-John Milton

  • dont forget queensryche, ratt, soundgarden, pearl jam, and tool. for starters.

  • van halen also

  • I teach High School -NONE of them have heard of Night Ranger.

They have heard of Led Zepplin,AC?DC stuff like that - but NOT Night Ranger and I dont give a damm

I got mine hahahahah (I am drunk)

  • I miss the 80's

  • damn! can't never have enough of this song

  • Music that actually makes you feel good. What a concept!

  • Everyone laughs at me when I talk about "Night Ranger's Other Stuff"

My favorite two 80s songs are their "Sentimental Street" and Survivor's "High On You"

  • and I'm only 21

  • we need bands like this nowdays! Rock on!

  • True that!!

this is music that makes me feel good, to me not a whole lot of newer stuff I hear gives me that feeling

  • same here. I'm 16, I love this stuff. the new stuff is just disgusting.

  • You are wise beyond your years!

  • epic song

  • this was one of our fri/sat night car cruising songs when we were kids. I also liked ?"passion play" from the same album. This is the only album from Night Ranger that I liked

  • Are you sure you bought any other albums? as all of them are excellent apart from big life which isn't as good but still not bad.

  • This song needs to be in Rock Band. Like, yesterday. Somebody get on that.

  • 200th rating :D

  • what a fucking awesome song !!!

  • Incredible fucking song !!!!!

  • One of most awesome bands of the 80's. We all loved them so much. Yeah! We can still rock in America!!!!

  • NightRanger is soooooo, was sooooooooo underrated, that sucks, just like Europe was really underrated, i bet most peopLe don't even know Europe is from sweden,.............id luv to see Europe and NightRanger together, two similar bands with powerful rock energy, each unique, yet kindred,......really, i guess its good more attention wasnt given to them, cause then critics, etc. would just try to fuck them up,........these bands both equally fucking rock, thanks guys for the music, keep rocking!

  • awsome how he took tapping to 8 finger extremes

  • i no its like hes playing the keytar without the keys

  • Jack Blades, if that was really you commenting, Thank you for having such an awesome band!! Thank you also for giving us some of the best 80's music ever!!!!

  • even though i'm 38 my youth is still alive!!!!!

  • this song still rocks!!!!

  • Rock on!

  • Freakin' awesome! Long live '80's metal!

  • Come to the show in Reno on August 31 Sunday at the Rib cook off! I'm not there agent I'm a HUGE fan and cant wait to see them live again! ROCK ON NIGHT RANGER!!!!!

  • Jack,

What's the idea at 1:31.. girl enters room of gold-bedecked older man in an exploding bed.

  • This is an AMAZING hair metal song from the 80's. America's here to stay baby!

  • I thought I was pretty ugly back then. Even more today. I still get kidded about my long hair while every one else in the band has a more "mature" short hair look. Thank you all for being some of the best fans in the World! YES! You Can Still Rock In America! Jack Blades

  • hey Jack! For some reason I believe this is you...your comments just sound like what you might say from interviews that I have seen of you (mind you, I haven't seen a ton). But your wife was right (we wives usually are...mmwahahha!) it is hard not to be a little skeptical. But, anyway, regardless, please know, you were HOT then and I saw video of you from 2008, and I have to say, the verdict is..still HOT. I'm sure your wife would agree, and remember, she knows what she's talking about!!! :) :)

  • na dude your music is great and trust me the youth of the 80s is way cooler than the youth now and i wasent even there i think the look should come back thats just my opinion yes evne the crazy red leather pants in this video your band mate is wearing hah keep rocking man help bring back the sound

  • Damn, if these guys were just uglier, poor dressers, stood still while they played, wrote simple, mediocre, bland songs, played with the skill of a high-school garage band after 3 lessons, and shot the video with a cheap camcorder, THEY'D BE SUPERSTARS right now!

    Too bad...

  • haha, nice, its a shame that nobody understands it, but hey, you forgot a part. they have to be on disney! and talk about a fake love life and whine, or just scream about nothing stupid things.

  • You rock, Zeke. You really 14?

  • thanks, and yeah, i am. i guess im just one of the few kids that likes to rock it old school

  • METAL still RULEZ long live 80's METAL

  • Ummm? sense when was this metal?

  • Man, this song makes me hate rap and whatever it is they call rock nowadays even more. Out of the two, though, rap is the worst. Absolutely infantile....Anyway, hard rock and metal bands in the 80's had some pretty darn good musicians....Night Ranger could play with the best of 'em...

  • Great song but the naked guy in the tub and the two guys that look like and act like Will Ferrel in the cowbell skit makes me glad the 80s is over hehe.

  • That was a Blue Oyster Cult skit and they were portraying the 70's not the 80's

  • Yeah but it's the same effect. People acting like freaks and doing things that are now considered gay but then were just people doing what though wilt and rebelling or whatever hehe. Night Ranger kind of kept the style of a lot of 70s songs and looks but the guitars and amps were following the EVH trend of louder and squeelier taparoni style music. Just kept getting better. But the people that direct videos were porn directors and music vids were side jobs or something.

  • YES!

  • You rule America!
