@wrighta18 well i was on chanter for 5 months, spent a month looking for pipes and i got them a week and a bit ago, finding it okay abit hard at points but enjoying it!
@MattyyTaylorXx I started chanter when I was about 8, took me a year to get up on pipes, I can remember it being a struggle at the start but in the end they become an extension of your body and it feels natural playing them. Good luck with all your playing and just keep trying!
wow, i just turned 12 ,im tryin ta play tht song, i can play it but a lil bit slower and not nearly as gud birls, i think my fingers are a bit small for those lol
All he's doing is just sliding his finger, next time you practice instead of lifting your finger completely off the hole, slide it off the hole. And that should do the trick for ya!
My PIpes and Gillanders and MacLeods (Small Edinburgh Company) I am playing a Sheperd Chanter hopefully going to replace it soon. I have been playing since I was 8 so about 14 Years. I am currently playing for a Grade 1/Grade 2 pipe band near edinburgh which has just started we play tunes like Highland Wedding Balmoral Highlanders, Miss Lily Christie, Dornoch Highland Gathering, John Patterson's Mare, Donald Cameron's Powder Horn.
