this is retarded. If you want to do lunges/military presses/push presses or whatever else, dumbbells and barbells are more than capable to get the job done.
The point of a trap bar is so that when doing deadlifts or shrugs it doesn't hit your shins or thighs, not to look cool doing stupid exercises that should be done properly with a barbell or dumbbell.
it is a good idea, there is also a company out there that makes a thinner, longer, version of the trap bar to do neutral grip presses, curls, extensions, rows, etc.

really not a good idea..how do you put the bar down...either drop it in front of you or risk shoulder trying to put the down slowly..
