When I watched this in church, I was so humbled. I do this so often. I know it was supposed to be funny but I was so grieved by my own behavior. I hope this leads people to be careful how they worship, either in church or anywhere else.
It would be funny only if we didnt sing those lyrics accidently in church. And yes, I cant stand singing the same song every sunday it really gets old.
It's sad, most christians live to these songs. But I understand the humor behind it.... I've always thought that's what christian "rock" was about anyway.
Haha! Been going to church long enough to totally appreciate the sarcasm and humor behind this...people who are acting all ridiculous and offended...get over it. it's just plain funny.
Thanks for the reminder. I might not keep a straight face in church today after watching, but it's going to help me get my heart a little more straightened out.
Funny, because this reflects the true nature of Christianity. Jeez, at least the ancient Christians were open about their self-serving ways of violence, financial gain, and judgment. Gosh, you guys... be true to your roots, at least.
@narcissistinchains i'm impressed. as implied by your statement, you've obviously gone and met every solitary modern christian on the planet. not only met them, but also spent the time to learn what they're really all about. that's a big feat by any definition, hats off to you sir.
@bmarcoccia Not sure if Jesus would've approved of sarcasm, but then again, he hasn't met every unique, completely modern Christian. I'm sure he would see well-educated, clear-thinking, non-psychotic individuals like I do; he would witness an overwhelming difference in all of your personalities, and that you're not merely imitations of another, desperately trying to sleep soundly.
@narcissistinchains Think that was what he was doing when he told his "testers": "Give the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor." Can just see him him flipping th coin back into the crowd as he says it.
I would love to see this done...and then, when people finally "get" that they are often guilty of these very things, and their hearts, instead of laughing, begin to weep for what has been lost, to move into "Coming Back to the Heart of Worship" and then to "Here I Am To Worship." It might one of the most powerful moments we've ever seen! After all, if we can even ask or think it, He can do exceedingly abundantly MORE!
Thanks for sharing this video with others churches, I will be using it in our Sept. 18 service as we take a look at what it means to Love God. I want to take the focus off of God's love for us which we truly understand and place the focus on returning love to Him.
God bless you and your ministry!

There is so much truth in the lyrics. There has always been TRUE & FALSE believers (sheep & goats), but today is much worse than 100 years ago.
