  • Im sorry but zimmer is one of the shittiest composers ever.

  • @Darkseeker109 unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful

  • @DaanGFX I aint trolling im serious. His songs are the same repetitive shit every time.

  • @DaanGFX just because someone says something you don't like doesn't automatically make them a troll.

  • imagine how good The Dark Knight Rises is going to be!!!

  • Ranking of his films (so difficult....):

    The Prestige

    Inception

    Memento

    The Dark Knight

    Batman Begins

    Insomnia

    Following

  • Hmmm ok my favorite nolan films.

    1. memento, the prestige, batman begins, dark knight, following, doodlebug, inception, insomnia.

    2. (or possibly also 1) any future film.

nolan is an rising director, just think of how much more he has to accomplish.

  • FUCKING AMAZING! Thank you!

  • Can't wait to see what he does with Superman!!(Man of Steel)

  • @SamKris94 He's only producing that.

  • I came.

  • Imagine what he'll do in the next 30 years.

  • Best films in order.

    1. The Dark Knight

    2. The Prestige

    3. Memento

    4. Batman Begins

    5. Inception

I haven't seen Insomia or The Following yet, But I will do soon!!!

  • @MegaMaverick1994 With all great directors like Kubrick and Scorsese there lists are always controversial. But It should be Fact that Memento is Nolans Best

    1.Memento

    2.Inception

    3.The Dark KNight

    4.The Prestige

    5.Batman Begins IMO

  • @3Axy10Est13 To me, I believe Dark Knight was his best. Memento was good, but some things bugged me.

    1. Dark Knight

    2. Inception

    3. The Prestige

    4. Batman Begins

    5. Insomnia

    6. Memento

    7. Following

  • @jtproduction01 Like I said the list can vary like all great directors can but to not put Memento in the top 3 is criminals. Thats like saying Goodfellas is Scorsese's 6th best film.

  • @3Axy10Est13 Its just memento has a lot of cursing, and i'm not a big fan of cursing, and it had a bunch of awkward lines. Also the guy who played Teddy, seemed out of place. I'm not saying it's bad, it's great, I loved how it's told backwards, but it's not Christopher Nolan's best.

  • @jtproduction01 How old are you? Twelve?

  • @spacejesusadventure no im not twelve, i just don't like cursing when it doesn't fit. It's funny in hangover, but doesn't work in Memento. It's probably one of the reasons why he stopped doing r rated films.

  • montage of James Cameron?

  • It would be awesome if you would make a Stanley Kubrick one.

  • GREAT JOB !

  • this was mediocre i guess.

  • In nolan we trust

  • My favorite film of all time is Memento.

I hate Batman Begins though - dreadful!

  • @MrBronwaugh

Batman Begins destroys Memento. Prestige is far more amazing than Memento. Inception is maybe my favorite from him but really, they're all good. Memenoto to me was his least strong. It was his first. Good movie, but nothing compared to Batman Begins.

  • @awarlock82 Batman Begins is a superhero film that takes itself far too seriously. How seriously can you take a man saving people in a cape before it becomes ludicrous?? No no. Memento is a clever psychological film that is grounded much more in reality than Inception. Inception is great because it's just a bit of fun and is highly enjoyable, but Memento delivered the punches. It might be my favorite film of all time.

  • @MrBronwaugh

You obviously don't care about Batman and know nothing about the character, and maybe you don't appreciate a well made awesome super hero film. Batman Begins is the best origin movie of any comic book ever. You are the 1st person I ever heard of that dislikes Begins while loving Memento more than any movie. Most would like both. I just like batman begins more.

  • @MrBronwaugh

We'll technically Batman is not a superhero,he is a rich but psychologically flawed human being, that's why Nolan was right for Batman, all Nolan's work's have the same theme, people with psychological flaw's.Memento was the film that got me watching Nolan, but he has surpassed that now (my opinion) I actually rate The Prestige just behind TDK and BB,then Inception,Memento,Insomnia,Following.

But they are all great film's,and I am not saying the gulf's between them are great.

  • incredible editing.

  • What is the name of the song from 0:15 to 0:38? Plz tell me!!!

  • @dollarsaurus01: i hate twilight and transformers!

  • Needs more Memento

  • I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in this one. I love Nolan"s filmography, I've seen all of it but Insomnia, and I feel like this video didn't exactly do him justice. The pacing isn't quite right, I think some moments of selince would've done great to it, and personally, I would've started with "Are you watching closely?" from The Prestige and ended with "Now.. where was I?" from Memento instead.

  • @alecex:Inception was crap?

Uh huh, it is the best movie Nolan has ever made and i think you didn't understood Inception , you dumbass.

Only dumbos say Inception is crap. I think you should watch Transformers or twilight.your mind can process only that much!

  • @dkoolscorpionx Judging by how you wrote that, I wouldn't be surprised if those were the kinds of movies you enjoy watching. Obviously Inception isn't crap, but you're gonna have to do be a little more professional and less obvious to be taken seriously by anyone

  • Zarenlug20: you'll be surprised to know that i haven't seen memento!

  • AWESOME MAN, CHRIS FOREVER!!

  • micheal mann next, Please!

  • All his films are EPIC

  • Whats the music in the begining? I know its from batman but i want to know the track name and movie.

  • @srujanthedarkknight Its the Batman Begins soundtrack "Molossus"

  • one word (A LEGENDERY DIERECTER) :)

  • Hans Zimmer + Christoper Nolan = Perfect movie.

  • all Nolan's movies were magnificent. how the hell he didn't get an Oscar yet?

  • @xeniosm Inception got 4 oscars, but he deserved more than 100.

  • @xeniosm Thats why: memento was his 1st cinema movie and all the others were, as he himself states, High Scale PopCorn Movies!

Memento deserved an oscar but was too early for him to get one. So the only movie that could have gotten him an Oscar was "Prestige"... he schould have gotten one for this...

Inception was crap ...really disappointing. And the Batman movies as greate as they are will not get anyone an oscar for directing...

  • Great video, you're an amazing editor! I'd love to see a "[the films of] Quentin Tarantino.

  • That kidmiska said to make a video for micheal bay fims. Haha......micheal bay only thinks about money,he makes films with lot of CGI and action.he makes popcorn flicks not great movies.

Inspite make a video for steven speilberg's ,martin scorcese's or alfred hitchcock's movies.

Nolan is my favourite director.he makes movies for the intelligent audience.he also improves himself with every movie.

    Insomnia<the prestige<batman begins<the dark knight<INCEPTION

  • @dkoolscorpionx "It's not about the money... it's about sending a message"

  • @dkoolscorpionx you forget memento, wich in my opinion :

    the prestige<insomnia<memento<batman begins< the dark knight< INCEPTION<3

  • That was excellent!

  • best director ever

  • This was pure epic of of epicness and proves Christopher Nolan is a true film master and amazing story teller. I've waited so long to watch movies that gives me a state of chills and thrills to make me feel the awesome level of his genius for brilliant films. The Batman Trilogy will surpass all trilogies and break the curse of 3rd movies. Now only 6 months left until the best movie of all time is released, The Dark Knight Rises will be become a pure legend of all movies. >v<

  • From Following to Inception, I've seen all. Eagerly waiting for TDKR.

  • amazing edit dude!

  • the creator of the video is incredibly talented , i am a movie-freak and i dreamed to find some videos like this . you made my dreams come true , thanks ;) if you can make " the films of : michael bay " , youll make a lot of people happy , keep up with the good work , thanks again ;)

  • @KidMiska Michael Bay sucks, I see why some people like him but the majority of the people including me hate him because he ruins movie and dumbs down everything nolan is the exact opposit of Bay.

  • @ryan4butler1 i can agree , but he has amazing special effects in his every movie , eye bowing .

  • Nolan is quite a visionary. Really looking forward to what he works on after his batman trilogy.

  • Awesome tribute to the best director of the modern era.

  • who would dislike these?

  • The Prestige is probably Nolan's best work in my opinion. I seriously have never been SO into a movie where I actually understood everything that was going on at every second. Greatest film ever. AND greatest director ever.

  • @MidnightGrunt When I watched it first I didn't expect anything great, so I was blown away! Even now I try not to expect much from a movie. Even with the Dark Knight (oh my was I the happiest girl afterwards!)

  • Great job on the synching of the song and vid 1:53 I especially liked that :)

  • Excellent tribute.

  • Nolan might be a great story telling but his movie shots look boring as hell. Shit actions and boring shots.

  • thumbs up if you like inception better, thumbs down if you like dark knight better.

  • BRILLIANT!! This should be played before one of his acceptance speeches or something

  • this makes me more pumped for "The Dark Knight Rises"

  • For a long time, I've been looking for a man who can capture the pure epic amazement and true nature of what Cinema masterpiece can really be. I love movies that can make you think about the story, about the each of the characters, to be not only intrigued, but be totally shocked in a state of not seeing it coming but at the sametime just mind-blown by the conclusions of each story of the all these movies. The Batman Trilogy will be the best and most legendary. Nolan is the best of the best. ^_^

  • 28 people like the Barry Sonnenfeld movies.... lol

  • Epic!

  • I want this with Quentin Tarantino!

  • Very Good!!!!!

  • I really like Nolan but his fans are insane lol

  • @libertines24 Yes. We are. We are all insane. EVERY. SINGLE. LAST. ONE. OF. US.

  • @Garmose

    Second that:)

  • @libertines24 well i am certifiably insane lol

  • who's up for The Dark Knight Rises?!

  • @DJakob96 Uh... everyone?

    XD

  • Hitchcock. :)

  • You have to do Kubrick!!! greatest filmmaker of all time!!

  • On your to do list: Scorsese, Kubrick & Spielberg

  • christopher nolan is one awesome dude

  • I used to make films like this, then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • Very cool. Loved your song choices for this. Loved that you did it in under three minutes.

  • OMG, I totally forgot he did the Prestige!! That's such an underrated film, so good, so creative!

  • Let's please not forget to give credit to Hans Zimmer :)

  • ncie

  • @1983MGL that or 26 people don't have the intelligence to comprehend and appreciate the brilliance that is Christopher Nolan

btw great montage and music editing

  • MUSIC is LUV! Youtube/REGGIEWRITEOUS

  • Edgar Wright , please

  • Nolan's films aways so ...so what?

  • @JackYober all nolans films are good except batman begins

  • @proudstr8

fuck no Batman Begins is stellar idiot

  • @proudstr8 fuck no Batman Begins is stellar idiot

  • @proudstr8 fuck no Batman Begins is stellar idiot

  • Can you please do a Tarantino one? ;_:

and wow. You have wonderful editing skills, and you seem to know the correct song choice for all your [the films of] videos. Would like to see more from you! :D

  • Richard Kelly Pleaaaaase.

  • STANLEY KUBRICK ! George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Chan Wook Park, Gus van Sant, Peter Jackson, Cohen Brothers, Tarantino, Guillermo Del Toro

  • films of Quentin Taranino please!

Then films of the Cohen Brothers.

    thumbs up! :D

  • Nolan is good but not Paul Thomas Anderson good.

  • @rezablade117 Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my all time favorites, but Nolan is a visionary genius.

  • all your videos are absolutely fantastic... you have a great talent for edition... i cant believe [the films of] is endind! there are still so many directors i`d like to see here... i hope you decide to make a similar project in the future.

    ;D

looking forward to see your Harry Potter videoo...

  • hm. i like both this and the tim burton one a lot, but both of them are way too short.

  • Christopher Nolan is a genius of hollywood

  • My goodness, how good is that. Brilliant Material.

  • are you watching closely?

If you do, you'll find that most of his fans are either internet nerds or batman fanboys. He's a good director, not Oscar worthy good but good, but boy is he overrated.

  • @yxuz go fuck yourself

  • Very good, man. I won't be surprised to see ol' Hollywood knocking at your day. Dude, you should do Frank Darabont, just saying. That would be dope. Walking Dead, The Mist, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Majestic. Only bad thing is tha he doesn't have that many movies. But, for the most part, he's got similar tone in most his movies.

  • make one on DAVID LYNCH! that would be sick

  • An interesting challenge for you would be to make a video covering the works of an older director like Frank Capra, Alfred Hitchcock or John Ford. Or maybe a foreign director like Takashi Miike, Hayao Miyazaki or even Akira Kurosawa.

  • This was awesome in so many ways, there's almost no describing it.

    Gotta love Nolan's work.

  • Who can top Mr. Nolan... well, after seeing your newest video, I believe no-one can. But given you concentrate on more recent directors, I guess old masters like Kubrick, Kurosawa and Coppola won't make it, which leaves us with either the Coen Brothers, Scorsese or (please not!) James Cameron. And Peter Jackson would fit the Christmas season ;)

  • I totally woulda died if u had the chanting form the dark night rises at the end :)

  • Nicolas Winding Refn, please.

  • Now Scorsese!!11!

  • I just wanna say that I've fallen in love with this series. Keep up the good work!

I must admit I'm anxiously awaiting one for Scorsese or Spielberg.

  • No, scratch that. I wanna see a Coen Brothers tribute most of all.

  • It's interesting, but this is something I've noticed that you've been doing lately. You seem to be focusing a lot on the craft of editing rather than music in your videos now. Which in comparison to your early works was something more predominant. It's an interesting approach and I wonder how it will evolve as you finish your last few videos for the series. Keep it up!

  • thumbs up if you've seen them all!

  • @kmsw1138 im huge nolan fan! He's my favorite director! But i havent seen INSOMNIA, should i? is it good?

  • @1Minute60Seconds

It's quite different from the others. Not that spectacular, not that thrilling, just a slow-paced crime story. If you like Nolan, I can recommend it, but otherwise not.

  • christopher nolan baby!!!!

  • Great work. I would like to see a David Lynch one.

  • Nolan is the greatest filmmaker working today

  • @Snake711cool

    You're retarded.

  • Christopher Nolan is the no.1 film director

  • If you love Christopher Nolan films YOU MUST WATCH THIS!!!!!!! <3

  • The 24 people that disliked this video should spend all eternity burning in the deepest recesses of hell.

  • Brilliant work!

You seemed to have missed "Doodlebug" bug. It's on YouTube

  • @TheMuxical It's a short.

  • ..and can you do PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON montage please

  • you are very talented guy...great job

  • Nolan's first couple of films showed some artistic promise, but then he sold out....

  • eager for dark knight rises !!

  • this soundtrack from dark knight is vary awesome....Hans Zimmer rocks !

  • christopher nolan resurrected filmmaking as we know it. what a visionary!

  • Make a Coen bros one because theyre the best filmmakers out there right now.

  • Great as always, but thought it was a little short since Christopher Nolan's films are so rich. It was edited seamlessly, but I wasn't blown away like usual.

  • Awesome!!!

  • wong kar wai?

  • @blaiserfilms Effing love Wong Kar Wai, but he isn't well known enough for these montages sadly.

  • R u still doing the Harry potter, cinema 2011, films of all next month

  • plz....guillermo del toro?

  • A bit of a letdown. Still amazing but not "kees amazing". Fincher and Ritchie are still my favorites

  • Comment removed

  • this should be subtitled "... so far". i think the best is yet to come.

  • Cronenberg please :-) Actually I wanted to do a Cronenberg myself but I think I'm gonna wait till A Dangerous Method is released for it to be included as well.

  • Hey ! Hey Kees !

    Snyder ?

  • I can't think of someone who could top Christopher Nolan in my opinion, but if I had to guess I would like to see James Cameron or Steven Spielberg.

  • Lars von Trier. Do a films of please for that genius

  • Beautiful- any chance of Terry Gilliam, Guillermo Del Toro, Kenneth Branagh, Steven Spileberg, Michael Mann or Peter Weir at any time? This was fantastic!

  • Looking forward to Darren Aronofsky! ;)

  • mayby films of Stanley Kubrick?

  • Next's one going to probably be James Cameron. I feel it.

  • You should do one for Alex Proyas; he has a very interesting style and a great filmography. But I must thank you for creating a tribute to one of my influencial filmmakers in my life.

  • I really really hope you do a films of for Terry Gilliam. All of these are brilliant.
