Add Go Launcher and the Triumph really rocks.. To bad Virgin mobiles 3G data speeds completely suck (~768Kb).  On a positive note, my buddies Cricket (Also Sprint) gets the same speed, so I'm guessing all the sprint sub-contractors are set to this crappy speed. Really miss my T-Mobile 3Mb.

The actual screen is "Gorilla Glass" ... but, there is a screen protector already installed ... I always found that installing screen protectors slowed down the touch response. I carefully & slowly removed the screen protector on mine & there is a significant difference in the way the screen responds now! Swype IS available for this phone. Just go to the Swype web site & register for the "Beta" & you will receive instructions on what to do from there!

@IRGUYProductions it has a 1 ghz processor which blows the v away. the phones are barely comparable - the triumph has a front camera, much larger screen, and its built for speed. the triumph is a premium android device where the v is entry-level.

Both the Optimus and Triumph run Android 2.2 Froyo and are much more responsive.

@budokai12346 Supposedly it's so they can fix their shitty infrastructure, with all the data outages and text problems they need to raise the price so they can offer their users a better experience. I have used Boost CDMA for 4 years now and have never had a problem with anything, my friends on Virgin are always bitching about outages and slow text latency, it needed to be done if it helps curb these problems plus Virgin's tech support is for shit.

I think the reason is they always try to force motoblur which can interfere with with upgrading android os. This however is motoblur free :D So we shall see. I want this phone

This phone needs some serious software updates, cuz the screen lock stops working after unlocking the screen a few times, and it doesn't register taps a lot of times. Also, the 'back' soft key goes dead for short periods of time. I've turned the phone on and off several times now, but the same issues keep coming up.

The phone is not as responsive as i'd like when texting but overall the phones pretty nice. I had the 3g on all day yesterday plus playing with the phone and it lasted until this a.m(pretty amazing since my lg opti v lasted maybe 2 hrs w/ 3g on.) Also swype beta can be downloaded n it's much better than the orignal swype so glad I'm able to install verse it coming preloaded. Signal strength showed much stronger w/ lg v but amazingly I still get clear calls even though I get 0-2 bars. FYI
