@adyscarborough absolute crap!!my cousin just got one and its shit !!! Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im a pure 5.1 man and this Bose is rubbish never worth a real 5.1. Well over priced n rated Can even see how you can set the treble n bass etc
All that money and not enough bass. My Logitech Z623 bangs harder than my Bose piece. The bass shakes my house. I'm not asking that Bose should make my house vibrate, but, I feel that for that much money the subwoofer should have that capacity anyway...
Btw, those logitech speakers only cost me $130 (On Sale)
my module (bass) doesnt have the voolume knob at the rear part, its probably an older version DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TU INCREASE THE BASS VOLUME ? thanks !
On another note, I think that systems like this will gradually replace the common 'home theater in the box' because they eliminate the complexity of having a separate A/V receiver and passive loudspeakers. I think what we'll start to see is that in simple home theater systems, the television will perform all source-switching, and the surround sound information will pass digitally through the TV set to a system like this with a built-in surround decoder and amplification.
Sorry for my late response! I totally agree with you! With the Bose Cinemate GS Series II, all you need is the interface module and a stereo/optical input on the TV! In a few years, as you said, I sincerely think that it will BE the way to connect your speaker system. Thanks a lot for your interesting comment.
@GamingWebful As long as there is someone out there who cares about the quality of audio, i.e. sound engineers, masterers and recording artists, these systems will never be the king.
It's good that they provide an optical cable. Do you notice a difference with material that is encoded in surround versus material that is just in stereo? That is, if you plug the optical cable into a DVD or blu-ray player, will the CineMate begin decoding the Dolby Digital surround information or is it limited only to a stereo 2-channel input?
@sergioe66 Well you can connect these speakers to your computer if you have optic or stereo cable ports on your monitor. If this helped don't forget to rate this video and subscribe to our channel. :D
I'm considering this system for my Home Theater. I've heard the speakers a lot now, but I'm wondering if it is easy to connect, through a splitter of some sort, one stereo cable to the TV (which lacks an optical out), and one to my iPod Universal Dock, without any 'cableplugging' when I want to switch them. I know that it surely works if you plug your TV in the optical, but I don't know about the stereocable.
@mymovievideos if is for tv, you are gonna need use the stereo cables, but let`s said that you are gonna use this with an xbox 360 slim, connect the optical cable to the xbox, or in the case or a ps3, dvd, bluray
How good is its sound at very low volumes? Are all mids and highs clear at very low volumes? Moreover, how good is this, sound wise, if compared to cinemate II system?
The CineMate GS Series II does a really great job at low volume. No sound quality is lost. Compared to the standard Cinemate II, the GS doesn't really have any improvement in the sound. It's more about accessories such as the Universal Remote. But the GS Series II have the Gemstones speakers too which the Cinemate II does not have.
hey, nice vid. One last question if you don't mind: how's the bass on the woofer and whats the difference the cinemate GS series II and cinemate series II?
some minor upgrades such as the subwoofer and the buttons . In the GS series there is also a Universal Remote. The bass on the woofer is very clear and delivers great performances.
Oh yeah! It can be very loud! Even when maxed out, the sound quality is impressive. The quality is just perfect. Even if the price can seem high, it totally worth it. Don't forget to subscribe!
