@prescottpastels I use utrecht and gamblin oils...some windsor and a pretty limited palette. Hope that helps. Feel free to write me at Los Hawkins @ yahoo
@gossamerpromise Hi, glad you ike the work. Well, cobalt blue of course and I actually use a couple of tube colors I used to call "cheater" colors like prussian blue and verditer blue...these little hot shots would make Maxfield proud of us all!
i wish i could paint like this. Whenever i try and paint with acrylic i find it drys too fast and i start using cop out methods to blend colour like smudging with kitchen roll or just adding tones of water. I would use oil paints but they take so long to dry and i dont really have anywhere to put my work whilst it dries.
@mrjoecool i know its 3 years later but oil paint only takes a few days to dry. i love it. they make citrus thinner so its much safer and better for the environment.
they make mediums you can mix with acrylic paint so it dries slower and they make "open" acrylic paint that dries slower. but i think oil paint blends better.
I have watched this video 10 times or more and each time it makes me smile. Your talent and your heart come through so clearly in your work and in your words. May you continue to bring so much beauty into the world.
What colors of paint do you use? What brand do you work with? Please, please share. Thanks!

@carmenpaco i feel like i could eat your paintings, so stimulating. truly inspired me to be looser. realism gets old and stale so quick.
