  • The clock behind his head says 4:20!

  • WE WILL WAKE UP, WE ARE STUPID HUMANS BUT WE WILL FIGURE OUT WHAT WE HAVE TO DO.

  • All words no actions. Typical.

  • @devtrash Typical for what?

  • it's my money and i need it now.........

  • Sidney Lumet died today at the age of 86. He will be missed.

  • FUCKIN' INSPIRING. FUCK THE POLICE.

  • Laughed my ass off....thought that was the intention

  • FUCK ILLUMINATI

  • Same problems today minus the russians, but its worse, we now have terrorists...

  • If we don't all get mad as hell... some day this movie will be quietly blacklisted and banned. As subversive.

  • 30 years later and the same shit is still going on in the world. This scene is epic and timeless!

  • what good has getting mad and yelling our your window ever done? what a bunch of useless garble.

  • @Radioswim It's obvious you dont understand what he meant. Sticking your head out and yelling like an asshole is useless. We need to wake up.

  • what movie is this one?

  • i love this scene

  • he is one of my ''darlings''

Frederick Peter Ingle-Finch, ''the mad prophet'', from the evergreen ''NETWORK'' (1976)

~ der gute mensch starb* damals kurz vor der oscarverleihung (woran?)

~ he died* before the ''oscar-theremony'' (why?)

    * 28. September 1916 in London, Großbritannien

    † 14. Januar 1977 in Los Angeles

'i am mad as hell and 'i'm not gonna take this anymore''

    ~ R.I.P.~ love & awareness

  • that guys mad....lol.....

  • powerful scene

  • Who would imagine when we viewed this silly scene in a fictitious movie in 1976 that 34 years later this sentiment would be acted out in a political movement called the "Tea Party?" The difference of course was that the writer of the movie, Patty Chayfesky was only imagining how a particular segment might react if given permission to complain about their status on the American totem pole. He wasn't far off the mark.

  • this gave me chills..very strong and its a great idea if anyone is tring to find a monolugue...

  • this is beautiful

  • My life has VALUE God dammit!

  • GET MAD GODDAMNIT!

  • Get angry people, get angry.

The President counteracts alleged misinformation with blatant disinformation - get angry.

Theyve lied to you. They have only contempt for your opinion.

They call you political terrorists, accuse you of carrying swastikas, sick their union thugs on youtell you theyre going to punch back twice as hard.

Get in their face, push back even harder, show your disgust, show em your fist if you have to, get angry people, get angry, get angry.

  • I saw this in Tehran the other day at 3:00

  • its as true today as ever! i am as mad as hell and im not gona take it anymore!

  • He seems mad for some reason.

  • i fucking love this part. idk why lol

  • Sometimes it's better to get mad'as'ell ;)

  • Brilliant, and accurate.

  • The guy IS a lunatic- but that doesn't mean he isn't right. Sanity is mass consent. The difference between genius and insanity is mass support and acceptance.

Until people do start getting mad as hell, he will remain crazy.

  • Typical lunatic....

  • I guess your the fucking lunatic. This is exactly what needs to happen nation wide

  • i agree with you. well said.

  • i will fuck you in the ass until you realize you are gay

  • Is it crazy to speak the truth? Is it crazy to try to get the energy together to reverse the downward spiral? Is it crazy to want to be a human being with value? Is it crazy to want a better world?

If it is, then call me a raving lunatic.

  • but in the movie he is a lunatic, you ever see it?

  • Well, if I ever finally take over a corporate media station, this is what I'll say.

One was briefly taken over during the current uprising in Greece, and they protested the cop slaying of a 15 year old anarchist.

(Reminiscent of the recent shooting of an unarmed Oscar Grant by cop at a BART station in California)

One thing that holds us back from liberty is our isolation from each other, and this clip has a good remedy for it.

  • You dont burn buildings and try to kill people cause one little anarchist shit got killed. Especially when the court date for the officers hasnt even taken place.

Anarchists are the worst things that could happen to us. They only want to hurt people.

Real resistance is much much different.

  • Sometimes I disagree with people, and there for have a little argument/debate/exchange of ideas.

But your last 3 sentences are bullshit.

And police killing civilians is very common, and not just in Greece or America. But once they shot one of us, how could we not respond in such a manner.

If I am shot by a cop, I don't care if he gets life in prison, the death penalty, or gets acquitted, a society which justifies people in power murdering those without needs to be destroyed.

  • people die get over it

  • And people fight back, deal with it.

  • a perfect society with perfect police is impossible and unrealistic

its dumb to destroy every government and start from scratch again

  • No, you're just to afraid to try.

  • greek students tried and shit all happened

  • You're right, we should try only once and give up.

No use in learning from our mistakes or anything, I guess we'll just resign ourselves to the whims of the world instead of actually having a hand in determining how our lives will be lived.

  • QQ, one guy does something bad does not mean you take down the entire government

  • No. The problem isn't a few 'bad apples', or merely a few 'isolated incidents'.

    The entire system:

    1. doesn't work

    2. isn't even satisfying

So why not create the world we want instead of keeping this banal culture going?

  • you get yourself an army and weapons and a decent chance at a job like that. and you can count me in. i dont like how some things are either but one person isnt going to change anything

  • I am not interested in creating a vanguard, 'getting myself an army and having others *join* me'. A social rupture requires just that: a *social* rupture.

To bring things to the point where 'normality' can no longer impose itself on us. When there are no longer those who lead and those who join, but when we all determine how our lives are to be lived.

    THAT is revolution.

  • that doesnt happen without force

    think about Somalia

nobody gave a shit what was going on there until holy shit theyre taking our boats now wtfff send the navy!

or starvation in africa, nothings going to change about it until war breaks out.

thats how things are, there hast o be something to push it things dont just happen

  • Things happen all the time, and then people get amnesia and it goes away. Tensions and 'crises' rise all the time, the crucial thing is to *intervene* in already existing social conflicts, and, in my opinion, try to push them towards an anti-authoritarian trajectory and also to make the revolt spread.

  • no they dont ;]

  • Strikes, protests, riots (yes, they DO happen in the U.S.), things such as Hurricane Katrina, when tensions boil over involving a police shooting (either way - cop shooting civilian or vice-versa), L.A. riots, all the anti-war stuff that began BEFORE the Iraq war started and lasted well beyond that, when white supremist groups try to hold a rally and sometimes get shut down by the general public, trucker strikes that threatened to shut down the U.S. when gas was rising, etc, etc, etc

  • those all had something behind them, police shootings, obviously a police officer was shot, or again vice versa. trucker strikes? because of gas

    dur

    things dont just happen

  • truth

    epic scene

  • im mad as hell, and im not gonna take this anymore. We need this now more than ever

  • @danoftherepublic who are we suppose to be mad at? I'm curious

  • what we fucking need.
