You should try to read some of these books so you can at least get a good perspective about the religion that you have converted to. If Islam is for you then I wish you the best. There are more books that I can refer you to, if you are interested. You should try to read some of these books so you can at least get a good perspective about the religion that you have converted to. If Islam is for you then I wish you the best. But it helps to really get educated about this before you decide this is for you over the long haul.

They never fully explain the significance of the post-Meccca part of the Koran and how it is to be given more weight than the pre-Mecca part of the Koran. With that being said, see the Koran's command to slay the unbelievers (9:5; 2:191). Of course, Muhammed did bring some morality to the Arab tribes.

The main source of contradiction comes from the more peaceful first half of the Koran known as the pre-Mecca part. This was written while Muhammed still believed that Jerusalem should be the spiritual home of Islam. The more violant second half of the Koran is known as the post-Mecca part. This was written after Muhammed decided that Mecca should be the spiritual home of Islam. When there is a contradiction (as there often is), Muhammed said that the second half should over-rule the first half.

I shall be glad to do so. To start with, I have read the entire Koran. It is almost impossible to understand the Koran without studying some of the Hadriths that have been written to give some comprehension to it. However, you should be aware that the Koran is not written in chronological order. Rather, the shortest Sura is first and the longest Sura is last. This makes the Koran even more difficult to follow. Furthermore, there are many instances where the Koran seems to contradict itself.

Its good & positive when a person recognizes the One Infinite G-D.If I go into a book store and find a can of khumus (chick peas) along side the books, who can prove to me that what is in the can are chick peas & not corn?A person may accept Islam but who can show me proof that this girl's mother is Jewish.If her father is,or a grandfather only,than she is a gentile who accepted Islam.Michael Jackson did too!!& Judaism do not search for converts,preach to gentiles or as in Islam force people.
