There was a scene in this film where Dexter woke up from a bad dream and said he doesnt want the lights off cause when he wakes up in the dark, he thinks he may be dead. Thirteen years later, Brad Renfro died in his bed. In The Client, Regie Love gave him a compass so he won't lose his way again. He did. And it's too sad to watch his earlier films and see how happy he was. I'll always remember him as that young and happy boy though.

He is from tennessee and he has a southern accent and since he went to la he had to change his accent cause people said they couldnt understand him with it ( in my opinion they need to clean thier ears out )

Brad Renfro was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is actually using his real accent. He had to drop it when he was casted in "Sleepers", "Apt Pupil" and other movies but, in this movie, that's his real accent!
