Don't worry coz if the thing hit in october, all the 'second home' owners will have gone home and the population of cornwall would have been about 38 people.
I visited Cornwall once. It was very sunny and warm. The people are very nice. At night they chant invocations to the moon and summon the spirits of darkness. They like to hold orgies which anyone is free to participate in. No-one works and they all laze about during the day drinking beer. At the summer solstice they build a wickerman in which they burn an innocent tourist. Cornwall is a lovely place which I plan to visit often.
i can remember when i was at porth beach campsite it rained and almost flooded my aunts caravan and the riverside was flooded the beach was flooded to lol

FAKE! My grandma lives in cornwall and there was no tsunami she is still alivi. Yeah. surely there might of been a storm and the water might of reached the suberbs but only a little bit

@AmberLogan123 shut up you make yourself look stupid this is for educational purposes its about how if we save the environment this will not be a possibility for our future japan isnt the only country to have a tsunami you know and i am verry sorry if something happened to your grandparents.
Bit of a geeky vid, but yes its true a very very small tsunami hit the area this summer caused by a landslip in the ocean.. Was witnessed and got in the local papers etc. They had a bigger one hit Cornwall about 200 years ago..
on the positive side if one did hit penzance at least it would wash away some of the dog shit..
carry on joking about it, there is a chance this could happen.theres a volcano on one of the canary islands, which if it erupts could basically completely redecorate the south coast of england with seaweed and crabs
@Lauraukify Its debatable if the seventeenth century wave was just a large wave or that it was a true tsunami that hit the coast of Somerset. I think the evidence for it is 50/50 each way. Its not impossible for a tsunami to hit British shores one did happen in fact in 1751 in Cornwall, after the terrible earthquake and tsunami destroyed Lisbon.
Google 1607 tsunami. It washed away an area of farmland in the Severn estuary. That area is now... the cooling water reservoir for Oldbury nuclear power station. A vote for nuclear is a vote for death.
I was born in cornwall and I live in Cornwall St austell and I have a Cornish accent, i think u r a stupid thick person, who needs to be shoved down a tin mine.

Lol.. to think that people actaully believe this is real... Its a TRAILER for BBC's Timewatch: Britian's Forgotten Floods. When it was believe to have happened was in the early 1000's. And as for danielwormald.. of course it could travel that far, tsunamis can travel great distances depending on how big they are
@theatlanticpirates Then when you've got no income from tourism you can apply for aid from the IMF, because without the English money that pours in every year you'd be screwed. You don't even have enough skilled men to fill the jobs you do have. They're all too busy in the pub. Cornish is a by-word for lazy and useless in the rest of the country. "Dreckly" doesn't stand anywhere else. That's why none of you make it in the real world. Chons da with that little idea mate.

@doctordrew66 Grammar Police. I like that. Well I happen to be Cornish, yet I have made it in the 'real world'. Am I just an anomaly to the stereotype you've created?
@benjaminosauras Oh I didn't create the stereotype. That was the end result of years of feckless, lazy, inbred Cornish halfwits failing to secure jobs when in competition with just about anyone who took a fancy to the place. The said halfwits then spend most of their time whining about Cornish independence with absolutely no idea what that means. Which is where we came in......
