  • @soulless82 read the last bit of the video you fucking blind kid.

  • I never remember this..?

I thought you were trying to say its atlantis but thats actually a island -.-

  • Don't worry coz if the thing hit in october, all the 'second home' owners will have gone home and the population of cornwall would have been about 38 people.

  • Im sorry

That sounds like someone I know

    Oh yea I remember

    BORIS JOHNSON

  • i can remember when i was at porth beach campsite it rained and almost flooded my aunts caravan and the riverside was flooded the beach was flooded to lol

  • this really could happen to cornwall though.

  • What happened in Japan - now THAT was a tsunami...

  • it was nothing more than a bloody ripple... no big deal, not like the news made it out to be.

  • Typical english person. I am english but have lived through major earthquakes in NZ until you experience it. Dont joke about it ... you have no idea.

  • FAKE! My grandma lives in cornwall and there was no tsunami she is still alivi. Yeah. surely there might of been a storm and the water might of reached the suberbs but only a little bit

  • @dogsinbad - No shit Sherlock...

  • @TheRozzers It is fake dumbass! And my name is not sherlock

  • @dogsinbad - FAKE??? YOU'RE JOKING?? I thought the whole of Cornwall was destroyed 3 yrs ago and I slept through it...

  • @TheRozzers CORNWAL WAS NOT DESTROYED! AND THERE WAS NO TSUNAMI! THE LAST TSUNAMI IN THE UK WAS IN THE 18th CENTURY! IN THGE LISBON EARTHQUAKE! jeez...

  • @dogsinbad - I'm gutted, even the BBC News team were fooled and reported it...

  • i wish this could happen then i could go and surf some real waves !

  • I thought one already had...........And caused countless improvements....lol

  • you liar it hasn't happened yet i live near cornwall

  • Never happened I live there

  • Good job i dont live in Penzance...

  • OMG

  • WTF THIS ISN'T FUNNY U STUPID BITCH MY GRAN PARENTS AND UR MAKING FUN OF JAPAN GROW UP

  • @AmberLogan123 shut up you make yourself look stupid this is for educational purposes its about how if we save the environment this will not be a possibility for our future japan isnt the only country to have a tsunami you know and i am verry sorry if something happened to your grandparents.

  • @AmberLogan123 Japan was a couple of months ago. This was made almost 4 years ago. Making yourself look a fool.

  • @HarryStarbuckWood i'm not making myself look like a fool coz it's on the web so ha

  • What is this absolute bollocks im watching??

  • Love the music at the end, whats it called?

  • Bit of a geeky vid, but yes its true a very very small tsunami hit the area this summer caused by a landslip in the ocean.. Was witnessed and got in the local papers etc. They had a bigger one hit Cornwall about 200 years ago..

on the positive side if one did hit penzance at least it would wash away some of the dog shit..

  • @bazaligembex Nah, the shits there forever now. No amount of water is getting that off the streets of Penzance.

  • Massive wanker

  • yeah and it's vulcanos in sweden YEAH RIGHT if that had happend it should be a WORLD WIDE NEWS so it's not true

  • carry on joking about it, there is a chance this could happen.theres a volcano on one of the canary islands, which if it erupts could basically completely redecorate the south coast of england with seaweed and crabs

  • WTF Thats the fakest thing ever

  • was it real?

  • Tim Goddard on the line... Sounds more like Ed Miliband!

  • @cornishjimbob That is scary makes a tsunami in Cornwall not much to worry about.

  • IT Happened it is on the bcc new website, this is no joke. But the tsunami was not on the scale portrayed in this video

  • @Lauraukify Its debatable if the seventeenth century wave was just a large wave or that it was a true tsunami that hit the coast of Somerset. I think the evidence for it is 50/50 each way. Its not impossible for a tsunami to hit British shores one did happen in fact in 1751 in Cornwall, after the terrible earthquake and tsunami destroyed Lisbon.

  • Wtf is this freaky shit? This is some x files shizzle!

    @colinthornton Why Cornwall?

  • wtf i just watched ?

  • Google 1607 tsunami. It washed away an area of farmland in the Severn estuary. That area is now... the cooling water reservoir for Oldbury nuclear power station. A vote for nuclear is a vote for death.

  • The guy who says thanks George gave it straight away that it wasn't real.

  • Crazy they just had one today.

  • LOL. I like the way Goderevy light house morphs into Mounts bay

  • I'm going Cornwall next Sunday we are staying near the beach :(

  • Exactly thank you. No body take any afence from that OK. Is that how you spell it?

  • @TroyTrevains

    No.

  • What a load of rubbish

  • I was born in cornwall and I live in Cornwall St austell and I have a Cornish accent, i think u r a stupid thick person, who needs to be shoved down a tin mine.

  • @TroyTrevains The irony of calling someone thick and then TOTALLY failing to find the reply button....Pure Cornishness right there!

  • that is not real because i was there that very day and that wasnt there so its a load of cods wolape

  • I LOVE IT!!!!

  • 0:59 most epic ice cream drop EVER.

  • listen all u people i live in hayle were it showed the light house and this is bullshit hope it does happen one day tho so i can grab me board cowabunga dudes surfs up ice creams down lol

  • Nigella Lawson's tits could generate a tsunami.

  • @nezpercenathan yeah and her lovely plump arse

  • @nezpercenathan were you volunteering to join the stormchasers team for that one?

  • Of course it could happen. It happened in Newfoundland in the 40s; it can happen anywhere with a coastline.

  • Lol.. to think that people actaully believe this is real... Its a TRAILER for BBC's Timewatch: Britian's Forgotten Floods. When it was believe to have happened was in the early 1000's. And as for danielwormald.. of course it could travel that far, tsunamis can travel great distances depending on how big they are

  • @lolwutfail09 I could tell it was fake as soon as I viewed the HORRENDOUS journalism and acting skills, LOL.

  • crap. i would'nt like to have been caught in that. i live in plymouth and i'm always afraid a tsunami will hit us cuz we live by the sea

  • where is Cornwall?

  • @YuGiOhGXFanChannel31

    Southwest of England.

  • Wash all the english out of Cornwall!

  • @theatlanticpirates

    Shut up you Leprechaun bastard

  • @theatlanticpirates Then when you've got no income from tourism you can apply for aid from the IMF, because without the English money that pours in every year you'd be screwed. You don't even have enough skilled men to fill the jobs you do have. They're all too busy in the pub. Cornish is a by-word for lazy and useless in the rest of the country. "Dreckly" doesn't stand anywhere else. That's why none of you make it in the real world. Chons da with that little idea mate.

  • @doctordrew66 Yeh. Real educated view there. No-one from Cornwall ever makes it the real world. You must be really high up in the 'real world'.

  • @benjaminosauras I think you mean "a really educated view" and yes, I'm very "high up," thanks in no small part to not employing or dealing with the Cornish.

  • @doctordrew66 Grammar Police. I like that. Well I happen to be Cornish, yet I have made it in the 'real world'. Am I just an anomaly to the stereotype you've created?

  • @benjaminosauras Oh I didn't create the stereotype. That was the end result of years of feckless, lazy, inbred Cornish halfwits failing to secure jobs when in competition with just about anyone who took a fancy to the place. The said halfwits then spend most of their time whining about Cornish independence with absolutely no idea what that means. Which is where we came in......

  • @doctordrew66 chimp

  • Anyone know the song please?

  • could be good for surfing

  • It can easily happen.

if anyone reading this message has not heard of POST GLACIAL REBOUND before, please look it up, as this is happenening right now, which is why there is a 150- 200% increase in earthquakes worldwide.

The IPPC and world bank's already know

sea level is not rising, some islands are sinking, some are rising.

the govt do not want you to know, and are charging us for tax on Co2 emissions, fake global warming. POST GLACIAL REBOUND is the weight of the water on geo-fragile..

  • ha ! have none of you read the description?? teaser trailer for timewatch !?! there propably looking at records in the area or floods that have happend like that years ago but now we live there, so if it happend again there would bigger consequences? thats all the tralior is for !?!

  • what a load of tosh. it was a few big waves. That's it. 8.2 on the rictor scale my bloody arse!

  • @Razorrack125 acctualy, i live in cornwall and if it did happen it would be devestating for all of us that live on the coast (i live on the coast + in a vally so yeah)

  • @scienceboy639 And so do I! So don't moan at me you stupid.

  • @Razorrack125 im not moaning at you stupid

  • @scienceboy639 calm down luv, calm down.

  • that's a load of crap. fake or what:/x

  • I have never in all my time on youtube said something negative but geez, i know its meant to be funny but don't you think its in rather poor taste?

  • OH NO! FUCKING CORNWAL!

  • oh my god haha, this is fake... you geezas believe this ROFL.

  • @lukeysim he said it would be horrible if it did happen you complte mong.

  • its to bad

  • oh my, i stayed across the road from st micheals mount last summer.. i could of actually died..

  • Yeah that's disturbing I went to Penance last September and it would be horrible if this did happen. Either it would happened like in the video or a massive landslide in the Canaries might also produce tsunamis that could hit Cornwall and much of the southern coast of England.

  • @Premium101 Your sick bastard!

  • ermmm no in a nutshell. Scientifically yes, mathematically very very very very slim chance

  • Could be what drowned Lyonnesse..

  • i love cornwall

  • this looks really good!!!

  • Twats!! all the hates piss off and go fuck yourselfs

  • We arent this lucky.

  • your a dick sad fucker go fucking die where you fucking live then ass

  • pz i still there not true

  • fuck you my friends live in pz i live 10 mins drive from there

  • Please destroy St Austell!

  • LOL

  • you noob

  • What's a noob?

  • yer the AGW is bollocks, but this sort of thing could happen, although very unlikely. It happened in Lisbon about 300 years ago, and i think some of it also hit other parts of Western Europe. :)

  • Hi Labrat (Tom) lols 0/

  • What is the tune at the end of this video? (From about 1:05)

  • which fool sits down to make this is beyond me

  • I no, i am moving to st ives next year, i dont think this will ever happen, not a chance, only a fool wud do sumat like this lol

  • I wonder why the BBC like so much to showcase their own news programme and masqerade it as "It could possibly happen, you know"

Smells like total bullshit to me, I think I will still be sleeping at night.

  • This could happen quite easily. Why? Because there is growing fault in one the Canary Islands. Cumbre Vieja on La Palma has a core that is filling full of fresh water and not draining away. The resulting volcano/ island collapse would cause a tsunami to hit cornwall in 3.5 hours.

    Also reaching the USA later.

  • 3.5 hours to reach us is very long, this would die out by the time it would get to 1 hour lol labrat do yur research, no tsunami cud travel that far

  • Shit happens and always will. Tsunami's don't just attack black people on tropical islands. The time of arrival is immaterial. I am not a pessimist, its just an observation based of other peoples scientific research.

  • A Tsunami travelled from Indonesia to India in a matter of hours and killed thousands. A Tidal Wave or Tsunami would travel across the ocean at great speed and if your on a ship in deep water it may feel little more than a ripple. As it closes to land it would get bigger. Have you ever seen breakers on a beach ? Where do you think they come from ?

  • Breakers on the beach, eg conventional waves, are different from Tsunamis. Although they both come about from being in shallower water, tsunamis travel along the bottom of the sea, where as normal waves travel along the surface :)

  • tsunamis have been known to travel 100s of km

  • drop a pebble in a pond, now will that cause any problems, trust me a tsunamis dies out as it travels

  • I know..but i am trying to say that it just pends on the size of tremmor at the source.... and the sea state.

  • wozamaterwidem... could happen drekkly i'm sure.

  • It just can happen with really big Bombs.

  • no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what the hell is this?

  • @KimberleyBoreanaz what do you think now?

  • it has happend i was searching all over googlefor it about 200 years ago and it went to bristol channel which then travelled up the river severn

  • Poor Ice Cream!

  • for some reason i've never seen this.

thats a wicked little trailer. like your v.o. with george aligiah col...

  • Is this sort of thing doable at home on a fairly decent home PC? I've got an Intel quad core with 4gb of ram and would love to have a crack at this sort of thing. If anyone has any pointers to sites explaining a bit more about how its done that would be great.
