  • hi how do you overclock on that mobo? it doesnt have the jumper settings. Can you please tell me how to do it cause i am really wanting to overclock my cpu.

  • Go into the bios and increase the FSB incrementally, then increase volts LITTLE at a time..

  • do you have liquid cooling?

  • Nice temps. I get about 24-30 idling on my Q6600 overclocked to 3.0GHz. I'm running water though. I'm also from elk grove..

  • ouch...ram timings blow :(

  • I now use 5-5-5-15-??

It's a minor OC. I'm happy so far.

  • thats still pretty bad...what RAM do you have? what brand and model number, rated speed and timings?

  • hi were can i download that program can u plz reply Thank You

  • It's the AMD Over Drive app. You can download it from the AMD site, or just google it.

    - Thanks for watching

  • your suggestion runs well, thank you..

btw do you have any idea..what is the best liquid cooler for AMD Athlon? also I saw the third thermal sensor reach above 100degree. and the Northbridge passive cooling is very hot..

  • Our motherboard is known to run really hot. I'd just actually buy a North bridge HSF. 100 degrees isn't alot of your talking about F, If it's C it's ALOT. If you have adequate air circulation you'll be fine. My computer hasn't crashed YET due to the North bridge.

  • it's in Celcius.. :(

  • Should I disable the "Cool and Quiet" feature in BIOS?.. my bro told me my '900 Mhz' AMD 5000+ caused by it.

  • What Cool and Quiet does is it lowers clock speed if you aren't running CPU extensive programs like Stability tests and games. I disabled it cause it also affects overclocking the processor. In conclusion, it de-clocks the processor, even if its not overclocked.

  • I have computer spec same as you AMD 5000+ Black Edition + GA-MA78GM-S2H RAM 2GB Corsair with Gigabyte 9600GT.

In AMD Overdrive Status monitor, my temperature keep stated as 0 degree.. why?.. is the motherboard/CPU temperature sensor damaged?..

  • I wouldn't say damaged. Try a Bios update. My BIOS sas 10C more, cause when you load bios it's on full load accessing hard drive info & ect. Update me :D

  • sure any time you need help just ask

    im glad it helped you
