@prowlersn This one is the SWP100 and it only does video. There's audio models out there too and I recently tried the Warpia Easy Dock Pro (SWP220) which is a newer model with a few extra options. Search on youtube for it and you will see some videos.
The beta Version for Mac Broke my USB adapter!! My usb adapter was working perfect with windows 7 laptop Hp G61 until I decided to use it on my mac with a beta version, My mac froze and now my PC doesn't detect the USB. It detects the other USB that sits on the Dock but not the usb that sends signal. I emailed customer support 7 times with no reply, and i called 16 times they put me in hold for 45 mins one time with no reply either.. the worst customer service eve
@edyman87 I agree with you on the customer service. I had one experience with them and it wasn't pleasant. I'm sorry to hear about the problem. Did you get it fixed?
i had an engineering buddy at school who was able to make ANY technology wireless with a couple custom gadgets. i have no idea what they were, but it was awesome.
Hi Jesse, great review, can you please share your experience on playing video at least upto 720p ??? will it play fine ? Also how is the audio streaming ???
Also could suggest some better transmitter/adapter for video ?? thanks dude
@onecubex The version that I had was the SWP100 which is the first version. I'm using it with a netbook which is a bit underpowered. The quality is not super smooth (a bit blocky on the edges), but I assume that has been fixed with the next generation of Warpia devices. I would like to demonstrate the next generation but Warpia never responded to any of my emails regarding testing of their newer products.
@JesseBAndersen thanks...have ordered the SWP100A with HDMI/audio, will share feedback once i test it, but for sure 720p w/straight line of sight is the best case scenario here. I sometimes think just plugging in a old laptop behind my TV and controlling it with a wireless keyboard-mouse is a better alternative solution as there will be NO playback lag...maybe tv's should just come inbuilt with a pc motherboard...??? (HD media players are still limited) and all you need is wireless controllers..
@onecubex The hardware on the system you plug in SWP100A does matter. When I plugged it to my main computer (better specs) I had better results. Some new Core i5 systems allow wireless streaming by default. Youtube it.
@JesseBAndersen Hi Jesse, actually the new systems that have inbuilt wireless have nothing to do with the cpu/core i5. Its the inbuilt wireless tv adapters like the one from netgear. the problem with those are obviously they are fixed with one unit, also i dont think they have audio streaming yet thats why not very popular overall...

jesse, i have herad varrying experiences with the range of transmission. anywhere from 8 feet to 30 feet. i would be interesed in your personal experience with a clear line of sight.
@dgrifo With this adapter you won't get 100% smooth results. Since it's wireless it has to compress the video. I only tried it at about 10 feet away and it was ok. If you have a wall between transmitter and receiver you won't get signal. There's some upgraded version that you should look into at Warpia's website. This device is best for stuff like documents.
Is that a picture of you at 1:24?

@onecubex That would explain quite a bit... but it really needs to have audio streaming or else it's not going to work at all for most people.
