  • how come no one is calling Nader a liberal socialist or some crap like that?

  • Hopefully because they are aware he is not. Nader is a staunch Capitalist. I wish he was a Socialist, but his approach is to use the system that is in place to seek out the justice and equality that our Constitution promises.

  • It was sarcasm. Conservatives have been calling every liberal socialist. I am surprised they haven't done it to Nader.

  • Oh, they have other ways of discrediting him, mostly by planting the idea in liberals' minds that by running in 2000, he undermined all virtue and goodness on the planet for the foreseeable future. If he becomes powerful enough politically, we can expect all kinds of "links" between him and Pol Pot and Hitler to suddenly appear on Glenn Beck's Theatre of Psychological Curiosities.

  • They don't call any liberals socialists, they aren't even liberals. The real liberals like Nadar, or Kucinich instead just get marginalized and ignored.

  • You forgot about democrats like Aln Grayson, and Independent Senator Berine Sanders

  • nader/kucinich!

  • The problem is the 2 party system is cemented in place with the money from the lobbyist and media and then after the elections its the corporate lobbyists who have access 24/7 to the congress and senate not ordinary people so its no wonder the system is so lopsided and corrupt.

Same is true in my country 2 partys but all the people here can do is petition which more often than not is ignored, so what is needed is a permanent peoples lobby group and money that goes to a peoples representative

  • Ralph needs to think outside the box. He talks about how organizing 2000 individuals within each congressional district would cost 10's of millions of dollars because of the office space and material resources required for such an endeavor to succeed. What if those individuals were organized within the virtual congressional districts of the world-wide-web? Meeting in virtual offices "built" in Second Life like communities? There are venues on the web which are ripe for such a new age movement.

  • This guy frustrates me. He's right. He is RIGHT... but what the hell does he do but gripe and write an occasional book? What does he do? Does he govern? the last time he ran anything was in 2001. He writes and promotes books. He hasn't organized in years. Then he runs for president. And I can't get people to listen to his words because my friends think he is an egomaniac. But still... the man is RIGHT.

  • I imagine for him, one of the big problems is the way the system of Elections run In America (In my own country too) is that it's really only ever a two party state. The media never really give much attention to 3rd party candidates, so people don't know much about their policies, so the voters are ill-informed and so they tend to vote for one of the big parties, for fear that the other one will get in.

  • You silly ass.

  • What a constructive comment. What intelligent conversation! Thanks BlackJanetJones.

  • Is Youtube the place you go to when looking for intelligent conversation? Come on! I called you a silly ass and that's about all you're going to get from me. Bye.

  • LOL... can't argue that.

  • That is not quite accurate. He started the PIRGs, Common Cause, Common Dreams. He is an actual lawyer who sues companies and departments of the government when needed. He has, on many occasions, told the people demanding that he take leadership that WE have to be our own leaders, and that confuses people who are looking for a leader. Then he runs for office, and he runs against resistance for that. He is quite active all the time.

  • Yeah but by running for office he shows us just how unrepresentative the press and republocrat party truly is and the system. If only people would show their dissatisfaction and vote for him instead of not voting because no one takes note of that

  • I agree, and that is one reason he runs. I have been voting for him every election since NAFTA passed. Sorry, but I had wasted my vote on imagining the Dems were "more likely" to be sympathetic to labor, the environment, and the social safety net too many times, and I am sick of being bullied by Dems who think their sacrifice of principle for unity will eventually get us our goals. It won't. It just gets us worse Democrats. Nader would be a good leader.

  • Its good to see Ralph back, i was wondering were he went. may be one day a peoples progressive lobbyist group could be organised to counter the corporations militarists banks and and AIPAC, may be if Ralph was the Front man for that with small donations people could give as good as they have to take.

  • Ralph is right about how the will of the majority in modern states like the USA and Israel is overlooked by those in government. A large part of both populations is more progressive than their leaders. those people nedd to find organizing dollars to get their message out. It can be done.

  • Nader is the best

  • A million Blessings of Peace, Love and Light for all of the Wisdom Spoken here. Namaste from America.

  • i can't stand that red state/blue state crapola. one more way to divide us as a people.
