The crazy thing is, of the four OU teams that went to the national title game between 2000 - 2008, this was probably the weakest of the four (not that it was weak; just not as good as the other 3) and yet this is the team that won the national championship. Go figure.
you can see the horns just quit in this second half. can't blame them during this game. it was over. it was destiny that year for us, though. then we blow 3 title chances over the last 10 years. so it has more then evened out. kids come into the school expecting to win - but no one is going to hand it to you. you have to TAKE it - that's what this team in 2000 did...we haven't since. I am praying that this year is different...but I doubt it.
"If they're still using VCR's in 2050" my favorite quote from this game... and to bitmopro: there's alot of OU fans that never really cared for WIlson. I'm cool without him calling plays.
I watch this video about once a month for the last 2 years.
It wasn't as bad as you think. It really came down to a couple of plays at the end. But seriously, how scared are y'all of Bryan Harsin? I know ol' Bobby would have paid to keep Greg Davis here. I bleed burnt orange, but if I ever see Davis walking down the street....I'm going to jail.
@bitmopro I was at that game, I still have the ticket stub for it. It wasnt close at all. Texas not only left the game at the door, but Stoops outcoached them, etc. I could go on but I wont. Im not scared of Harsin at all. Hes a great coach and I saw what he did at Boise. But, one coach wont make the difference if Texas players dont focus on the game like last year. Trust me, I know your woes with Kevin Wilson.
I know you're proud of this game. But if you don't look at the scoreboard, or the turnovers, or the first downs, or the yardage...it really was a tight ballgame. BTW, you do know that Kevin Wilson is no longer at OU, right?
@bitmopro and 1 more thing if you dont look at the turnovers first downs yards or the scoreboard what the hell are you gonna look at the grass because when i looked at the players all i saw was OU players dominating texas players and quinton griffin in the endzone the whole game was a blow out from the start dude
Please tell me you're kidding. Because if you didn't know that I was being facetious, just give me the address of your special needs fund, and I will make a donation. Damn, I'm talking to a Sooner. Which words did you not understand?
You sooners are so presumptuous. This game is more than the scoreboard. It has to do with fashion, style, good looks. So don't give me this "look at the score" business. That's too new school for me. I'm old school bitch.
Memorable team. I loved that crew of WRs, who were mostly a bunch of converted DBs/RBs/QBs. Antwone Savage, Curtis Fagan, Damien Mackey, Andre Woolfolk (who eventually moved to DB) and Josh Norman was listed as a RB but caught the ball a lot. They brought the goods. Lot of athletes for Heupel to chuck it around to with his funky throwing motion.
Yeah, I know, you guys could have beat us how bad you wanted to. I wish they would finish the investigation so that your title would be stripped, but they never will because it is USC.

It's 56 to 14 and the starters are still in? This is why America hates Bob Stoops.
withgrapesofwrath 2 years ago
Griffin wanted his 6th touchdown. If you don't like ou, then why are you watching this video? Stop being jealous.
zzLOVEGUNzz 2 years ago 2
ok, if pete left the starters in the 2004 orange bowl, we would have won 65-10. so no, im not jealous.
