how did you get them to blink? i have some neons that are wired right into the speakers and they work pretty well...it looks good except for footwells the lights are in different places which looks a little tacky

those LED lights are very dim. try LEDGLOW. search for it on amazon. they are 3-4 times brighter than the ones you have now. and they are cheap. 27 bucks. and take off the light up wire, it makes the interior look bad.

@theDobuhs you should connect them through an inverter. You can wire the ground wire through a simple toggle switch. Thats what I am planning on doing. Check ebay too. Some damn good deals for EL wire and converters

@theDobuhs There's no such thing as "neon wire lights", it's called Electroluminescent wire. Neon is a gas that illuminates when charged. EL wire uses a phosphorous coating and it's flexible.

@furythree so true... i am no longer in the underglow/neons/led world anymore :( but the cops had pulled me over 3 times for underglow and 2 for interior lol

I ask this because my fiance has green in his rear side windows (lining the windows) of his Challenger plus footwell lighting and underseat lighting... he has asked the cops here and the only thing they bitched about was the neon underglow kit.

@APBGrrl i had all interior green 2 12 in bars under the dash and 2 underneath the back seat, the EL was how yours looks. it went around the gauges and the HU. o and 2 bars in the very back next to the subs, and 2 solid ozniums in the sub box itself. the underglow the first time was green, cuz i wanted to match the car lol so then i changed it to blue and had it changing to purple and white slowly, they didnt like that, the last time they said they could see my lights under the car.

@APBGrrl 6 bars that you couldnt see unless you got down to the floor, all green, the el wires were the only ones showing, they got me the first for the flashing with the music the second they said i couldnt have green at all, for underglow the first was because i had it green lol to match my car, the second because i had it changing colors(fading slowly) blue,purple and white, the last time was because they said they could see the lights, they caught me coming over a hill, really dumb lol

@dill30669 I am actually trying to figure out how to wire up this EL wire I just got off amazon in my car so others cannot see it too easily from the outside. I want to remove my door panel and squish the EL wire in between the two pieces so it looks like the separation of the door is illuminated. Sounds dumb but will look cool. Basically similar idea to the new camaros that have the ambient light strip on the doors. Im just trying to incorporate it into my C5 somehow.
