I read it was actually Steve Martin himself who suggested Daleks to be included, he must be a fan to want them in it. I love how they imitate the Movie Daleks. This has always been a highlight for me ^_^

You guys really need to give this film some credit. I mean, just look at the date it was released-- 2003, 2 years before Doctor Who returned to the screens. Now, once it was leaked that Daleks were going to be in this all the Whovians rushed out to the Theature because, in 2003, this was the closest thing we had had to an episode of Doctor Who in over 7 years! Back then-- it was pretty kick ass, and I must say, it still holds up.

@kirbyfan4 The answer is obvious: the alien from ALIEN would not be able to be contained in any type of facility, as demonstrated by Alien: Resurrection and most of the games and comic books. Also, it would easily kill everyone, including the aliens (exept maybe for the Daleks). In addition, they weren't technically discovered until the 23rd Century, and they didn't become known until the wiping out of the Acheron colony.
