  • Hey! I live in Omaha! lol Moved here after this was taken though.

  • crazy to think this was that long ago. I kept thinkin it was just last year until i looked it up. I was driving in this on bennington road and i was dodgin tree branch after tree branch that had fell and i couldnt see far in front of me with rain and debris flyin all over the place. scariest storm i have ever seen. i dont ever wanna be drivin in a storm like this one again haha

  • LOL! got to love the "metorologist" professional opions in the comments lol!! Dam if it looks like a tornado.. and has symptoms of a tornado and the sky is ummm freaking u out.. and the alarms r going off. more then likeley there is a tornado or conditions r right for one. either way ur screwed if u dont have a basement :(

  • @MissyKwan yeah. your right. i miss watching twister. its so fun to watch:D

  • i wish i knew where you found the "

    swirls"

  • oh how it sucks to live in california...no exciting weather...ever....

  • Ya think so, try living in phoenix arizona we only get rain here once or twice a year, now THAT SUCKS!!!

  • @worldchampion1986 at least you do get good lightening storms during the monsoons.., and didn't you have some tornadoes a few weeks ago? anywhere close to where you live?

  • @minkyblack Perhaps not. But you sure get earthquakes;) (well, technically, we all do, but the seismic activity is so low here that you can't feel it).

  • @sonbuhitsunei last quake I felt was like 6 years ago, and it was small...would trade tornado season any day!

  • this storm had intense winds, however, straight line winds and claiming tornado every time you see a severe storm is just plain ignorant. idiots like you who have no idea or understanding about weather post stupid things like this. But yet your also the same people who claim "the weather guy doesnt really know shit"

  • @stormchaser232000 he is saying this storm had a tornado, mabye if you payed attetion. u would have got that

  • this is not a tornado! what your seeing is the leading edge of the shelf cloud(aka gust front as its coming into omaha) its just warm air being undercut by cold air, and as you see this come overhead, it appears to shift and move quickly, but its a sinking and rising motion.

  • Amazing! You can literally see the meso develop as the storm approaches on the right-hand side of the screen. Looked pretty outflow-dominant at first then area of rotation quickly organized. Wish I could have experienced the likely change of wind direction and the cool outflow. I watched many a storm at home here in Tx panhandle reorganize with temperatures and wind directions often changing within seconds. Supercells.......amazing entities!

  • the cloud at 0:57 is a roll cloud

  • thier was 3 reported touchdowns in douglas county tht day the storm u filmed was one of them i lasted for about two miles....thank fully id just went through open country

  • haha i live in manchester ridge lol like ya? idk y i said that?

  • They are wind chimes. But you can call it that. They are the same. :-)

  • Nice view of the wall cloud at 1:10-1:20

  • I remeber this

  • my uncle's neighbor's table trashed his fence and pond when it flew

  • There is no actual tornado in this video.. However there is a High Precip supercell.. and a lot of scud clouds.. no powerflashes or visible rotation, debris cloud or even an evident wall cloud.

  • Wow...Great video

  • wow good footage. i'd run for the basement. :O i live an hour away from you. but i have family in omaha. so scary. thank you for posting
