It's not the people of Iran, but the mullahs in charge of the government.
"The mullahs have known that Joe Biden is their No. 1 go-to guy in the Senate whenever they want their bidding done to fool the American people," Jerome Corsi charges.
In his book, Corsi names Biden, along with Democratic Sens. John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as recipients of funds from the "pro-mullah lobby" in the U.S.

Alrighty, just for starters on Obama's outstanding character friends. 1. Reverend Wright 2. Reverend Pfleger 3. Tony Rezko 4. William Ayers 5. Michelle Obama 6. Louis Farrakhan 7. Bernadine Dohrn 8. The Black Panthers 9. Weather Underground 10. Khalid Abdul Muhammad 11. Bobby Seal 12. Huey Newton 13. Kwame Kilpatrick
Thanks to the candidacy of Barack Obama, Black Liberation Theology is being exposed. Liberals and Democrats are trying to hush up Wright, Moss and others of their ilk, sensible Americans want to hear more, for knowledge is power, the power to combat hate. It serves not to reconcile and unite blacks with the larger cultural, but to keep them separate. Angry black leaders and leftists, see advantage & profit in keeping many people in black communities captive. Obama is steeped in racial politics.
and yet Obama polls higher than Mccain in almost every aspect.
first off Wright has absolutely nothing to do with black liberation theology. second, the only people who do care about that stuff were just looking for an excuse not to vote for him anyway. none of this stuff has anything to do with real issues.
I'm not sure where you're trying to go with all this because you really have no idea what you're talking about. The Black Panthers? Louis Farrakhan? Now you're just making stuff up. Obama has publicly came out and ripped Farrakhan up calling him an anti-semite and a racist. You don't have to support Obama but you shouldn't label him a Black Liberation Theologian when there's no validity to that claim. I'm going to stop now because there's no point in even acknowledging bullshit.
I never said a thing about Black Panthers or Louis Farrakhan. You're full of it. Where is Senator Obama? Not dealing with the crisis at hand. He is so unqualified to be President it's amazing how slow McCain has been at exposing that Obama is hiding from his responsibilities. He has done nothing his entire career but make friends with terrorists, criminals and anti-Americans. He doesn't even have an honorable friend. He is a foolish naive Chi-town thug. Look at what his wife and Pastor say.
McCain has been in Congress twenty-some years and has done NOTHING significant. not surprising for a man that finished 4th to last in a class of 800 at the naval academy.
u think Mccain is truly handling the crisis? just because ur dancing around doesn't mean ur doing something. He didn't go back to DC when he said he was AND he was so concerned that when he got back he still didn't read the 3 page summary that he got a week before. Please!
Illinois corrupt? yes and guess what Obama did? He made Illinois the first state to videotape homicide interrogations by sponsoring a bill that passed unanimously and bipartisan. He also increased tax credit for low-income workers and reformed the health care laws there.
Glorified Community leader?? on the level of Sarah Palin??? Ha! Obama went to Columbia and graduated from Harvard Law, magnum cum laude. It took Palin 5,6 years to get a BA from 5 different schools. Once again: Pu-lease!
every president and vise president has had big name degrees, from big money schools, and look where we are! we need a real person in there, who understands real people, not another magna cum laude big shot jerkoff, a piece of paper saying you are smart, is just that,a piece of paper, we need a mix of both, you cant just have harvard graduates run this goddamn country every time, its not working, obama is a socialist on top of it, steal from rich, give to poor, unionize everything, fuckin socialist
it's not about having harvard grads. it's having someone smart! d u remember the last time we had an idiot in the White House? oh yes, of course, he's still our president. McCain's dad was a big shot in the Navy and he still finished 894 out of 899 in his class.....you decide!!
his wife is a vey intelligent woman who only said what everyone around the world is thinking. Not that she didn't love americans but that they had not given her any reason to be proud in these last year. And who can disagree?
As for pastor, will someone explain to me why religion should be involved in politics? I mean this is america, not the middle east!
Obama can have a picture oh him posing with Osama, Bin Laden and Hitler and he'll still win. The majority of people are not better off in the United States then we were eight years ago. McCain doesn't even know how to use a cell phone or a computer. What kind of forward thinking can this man come out of? Graduated at the bottom of his class? Obama at the top . . . of harvard. He's passed up million dollar jobs so he can work in his com munity. Obama is no saint, but he's the best of the two.
you've got to be kidding me. what kind of logical thinking leads one to disqualify one man based on perceived technical ineptitude with personal communications devices and unqualified statements on the quality of life in this country, while pulling for his opponent based on good grades and apparent altruism regardless of his views on any issues? this is the sort of thinking that will get obama into the white house though, pointing out how slick he is to divert attention away from his views.
Perceived? Though half assed jokingly he has admitted this though. How can a man take this country or any organization to the future while holding two stone tablets? This man is old enough to know what it's like to drink beer out of a wooden barrel through a bunghole.I don't see him coming up with any original ideas. He's being desperate and pathetic. Just like when Dole had Kurt Cobain plastered on signs during certain "youth" tours, he's trying to hard to please everybody and'll infuriate all
I know John McCain, and John McCain's a great guy, a tremendous guy, Trump told King. I've known him for a long time. And I'm with him, and I'm with him based on the fact that I have great knowledge of John McCain. Also, this is not the right time for tax increases. And Obama wants to increase your taxes drastically.
I personally believe she and McCain will lose as hell such as bush and DICK cheyney got married as in iraq vs dubai ghandi shot to death in 9/11 and laden bought lamborghini from walmart such as benz got bankrupt and china is rising as a bonner!
Amusing but for a more fair explanation of the exchange, see Krauthammer's definition of the "Bush Doctrine" from the 9/12 Washington Post, specifically "There is no single meaning of the Bush doctrine. In fact, there have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration -- and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. It is utterly different.". Krauthammer was the first to coin and publish the term "Bush Doctrine".
Oh-- you are awesome Brezh, here here, well done! If I could give you 10 thumbs up I would. What is going on with us all of sudden, this woman could potentially be president.
the National Security Strategy of the United States, published on September 20, 2002.[15] This document is often cited as the definitive statement of the doctrine.[16][17][18] It was updated in 2006 and is stated as follows: [19]"It is an enduring American principle that this duty obligates the government to anticipate and counter threats, using all elements of national power, before the threats can do grave damage."
The NNS was updated in 2006? Dude, you just shot yourself in FOOT! You want me to call a doctor?
IF YOU ARE CORRECT (hypothetically speaking) then you have just proven that Palin was right (which she IS) and poor Charlie in being buried DEEPER in this hole he dug for himself!
Please cut Charlie some slack, man. Ease up. Everybody makes mistakes!
Well... she's better than Palin. Better, more concise answers than Palin gives. If McCain keels over with a heart attack, I just hope that this lovely blonde girl will lead our nation. Better than the Palin twit.
I guess the saying is right, women voters dont have the mental capacity to think logically. The Hillary women are only voting for Palin because she has a vagina, even though Palins political views are the complete opposite of Hillarys political views. What pathetic uneducated voters they are!

(UPI) - Charles Gibson was out for blood & inherently applied a double-standard compared with the kid gloves George Stephanopoulos used on Sen Obama. When Obama referred to his "Muslim faith" & did not correct himself, Stephanopoulos rushed in at once to help him emphasize that he meant to say his Christian faith. Gibson was out to embarrass Palin. Tactically, she made the mistake of trying to be friendly & informal with Gibson, who assumed a superior, professorial & critical stance toward her.
Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders. Rather than reach an accord with the Bush, Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate. Obama also tried to persuade Petraeus, to suggest a "realistic withdrawal date."
Sorry but, McCain has the right vision & experience to command US forces and adapt our nation's defenses to the demands of a changing & dangerous world.
Palin thinks, she knows what Vladimir Putin is up to, because Alaska is next to Russia. That to me was the real part were people saw how much of airhead Palin is. Palin also says Nu-cu-lar just like Bush. It was the overall interview, just not one Gotcha moment, that showed Palin is simply not ready for such a big stage. The whole interview was bad, not just the Bush doctrine part. Even the part of not blinking, sounded, just so silly
If you are so concerned about the amount of experience of the vice president, what about the top of your ticket?"
Obama contends that he is more experienced in executive matters than Sarah Palin because he has managed his presidential campaign for the past 18 months.
Obama lacked the confidence or the strength to ask Hillary Clinton recipient of some 18 million votes, to join him on the ticket. He picked Biden, a symbol of everything that Obama has told us that he is going to "change".
Sensing his "gotcha" moment, after making her fish for the answer, Gibson grudgingly explained to Palin Bush doctrine "is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense."
Wrong.
The fundamental mission of American foreign policy is to spread democracy throughout the world. "The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world. That is the Bush Doctrine.
The Iraq war was sold to us on the basis that there was a gathering threat. Remember all the talk about "mushroom clouds"? The threat was not imminent however so Bush needed to create a new policy where he could justify invading a non-aggressor. The Bush doctrine established, among other things, our "right" to preempt and disarm this gathering threat.
There have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration -- and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. Colin Powell gave President Musharraf a seven-point ultimatum to end support for the Taliban and support our attack on Afghanistan -- that became the essence of the Bush Doctrine. Presidential doctrines are difficult to define. The only fixed "doctrines" in American history are the Monroe & the Truman doctrines.
So it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world.
From the day of our Founding, we have proclaimed that every man and woman on this earth has rights, & dignity, & matchless value. The moral choice between oppression, which is wrong, & freedom, which is eternally right. There can be no human rights without human liberty.
Also, McCain is no spring chicken. There's always the chance that she would become Pres should he take ill. I do think she's smart and capable for her current position as Governor. I have serious doubts and questions about her capabilities for the White House.
Sarah Palin scares the hell out of me. All out nuclear annihilation would be nothing more than just "the second coming of Christ" to her. She and all her God fearing friends and family will rise to heaven while all the "sinners" live and die in a perpetual hell. This is not the person who I want to have the finger on the big red button. Support seperation of church and state. Vote Obama/Biden 08' !!!!!
Honestly, if the McCain/Palin duo are elected this November, the whole rest of the world will write America off forever. World opinion is at an all-time low already. Forget the fact she has no foreign policy experience; Sarah Palin, without even doing anything, would be a foreign policy disaster.
And elitist? Being well spoken and intelligent (unlike Sarah here)doesn't make you an elitist. It makes you qualified. Having 5 homes, on the other hand...
2008 will be known as the year the liberal movement died. What losers they are so scared of Palin they are willing to do anything to try and win. Funny how all the media is so desperate to help them win and they are still going to lose.
somebody should explain to Palin that the president of Iran is just a mouthpiece and has no control over the country....also, maybe should research a little before speaking would be great!
Good example: someone asked my mother how is your kid? which one mother responded.(my mother has 4)
There are four Bush doctrines and Charlie Gibson did not ask particularly which doctrine you want me to answer. To top it off, Charlie did not know either which one he was thinking. hha no.1 hha no.2 hha no.3 or hha no.4 For a snobby person he is he did not look intellegent at all in that question.
Liberals are afraid of Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is a force of nature, a tigress, a pathara, a valkrie, a minx, a She-wolf. And she eats her young. I think Sarah Palin should become the empress of the United States and all of the citizens of the U.S. to be members of the Fourth Reich. Then pigs fly and everyone wakes up whom hasn't already.
The "Bush Doctrine" is not an official doctrine defined by Bush, but a term used by a commentator named Charles Krauthammer. He used it to refer to the policies delineated in the National Security Strategy of the United States, published on September 20, 2002, which is a very broad set of policies, hence, a great answer is her "in what respect?" (Which part, "Charlie?")
2008 will be known as the year the liberal movement died. What losers they are so scared of Palin they are willing to do anything to try and win. Funny how all the media is so desperate to help them win and they are still going to lose.
its soo obvious shes out of her league and been trained to answer questions (they do that alot in beauty pagents she repeats the same thing over and over ..and never answers any questions...tey should of kept her the cacoon
it doesn't matter how many points there are to the bush doctrine because she couldn't name 1 and thats sad, John McCain as old as he is if he dies and the country is left in her hands i dont care how much u want he republicans to win there will be some major concern about are safety if she ever has to run this country
And for the record, there are 3 points to the Bush Doctrine: (1) unilateralism, (2) pre-emption, and (3) the spread of democracy, often using one or both of the first two points. I have heard some say there are 4 points, but I am unaware of a fourth point, unless one claimed that fighting terrorism or protecting American interests is the fourth point. That, however, is assumed to be the reason for each of the 3 points of the Doctrine, not the doctrine itself.
"experienced journalist trying to embarrass this woman in front of the nation...."
I'm tired of this type of comments. What is she going to do when the Russians, the Iranians, or the Chinese put her in difficult situations? Is her cabinet gonna cry "Sexism!"? Every time someone says something like the comment above, they are admitting that Sara Palin is weak and needs special protection. That is not a quality I am looking for in a President or Vice President.
There are several interpretations of the "Bush Doctrine", so she was perfectly justified in askong "In what respect Charlie?" Why is the liberal media getting scared? Do they try trick questions on Obama? Their desperate and childish tactics are becoming ever more obvious to anyone who has half a brain. They are counting on the moronic and the duped to blindly follow their lead as usual. Thankfully, many are waking up from the mainstream medias mental grip and daring to think for themselves.
Sarah Palin scares the hell out of me. All out nuclear inhilation would be nothing more than just "the second coming of Christ" to her. She and all her God fearing friends and family will rise to heaven while all the "sinners" live and die in a perpetual hell. This is not the person who I want to have the finger on the big red button. Support seperation of church and state.
"experienced journalist trying to embarrass this woman in front of the nation...." What a moron! The embarrassing thing is her ignorance and her misguided pride.
Her request was for clarification was completely legitimate. The so-called "Bush Doctrine" has had many different points. Originally it refered to the National Missile Defense system. Later the term was used to refer to four aspects of Bush's policy: Preemption, Military Primacy, New Multilateralism, and the Spread of Democracy. Which point did Gibson want her to comment on? Why don't yo idiots visit Wikipedia and educate yourselves instead of make fulls out of yourselves.
her request for clarification was legitimate, but it became obvious that she didn't know what the "Bush Doctrine' was.
moreover, she is unfamiliar enough with foreign policy (and the news, because it was big news when it came out)not to realize what he was talking about
The Bush Doctrine has had two points, the first one was that we would attack any country harboring terrorists plotting against us, without anybody's consent, and later a second point was added and that was the pre-emptive attack definition. I'm not an expert but I know that there's been the Bush Doctrine, The Powell Doctrine(during first Bush), The Clinton Doctrine and The Truman Doctrine. If I know at least this little that makes me more qualified to be VP and McCain decided not to pick Romney
RobinJoe.... It's obvious that you know what it is. I would guess that IF Palin knew what you know, she would have given an answer somewhat like yours. It was clearly obvious that she didn't know. Be honest with yourself..it's clear that you have some intellegence. Use it please.
robinjoe61 - "Her request was for clarification was completely legitimate. The so-called "Bush Doctrine" has had many different points."
The point is though, she didn't know anything about any of it. If she did, after asking for clarification she would have said more than just obvious points about fighting terrorists.
By the way... this is a woman who is on record as saying that she hasn't been following the war, because she was busy running the state. Then here she pretends to have views. It's apparent that she was telling the truth.
ahhaha, funny!i saw the interview, i'm not american nor russian but a citizen of the world.... but i don't think it's will be a good idea "declaring " war to russia!!! you aren't the world army!!!
experienced journalist trying to embarrass this woman in front of the nation. The hidden political agenda in the use of the term "Bush Doctrine" was too obvious. Why didn't Charlie explained what he meant by the "Bush Doctrine" in the same sentence? Yet another low for ,We are divided states .
why should he have to explain it, shouldn't she know what that means??? It's not as if he invented the term, all American's should know what it means without having to be told by a journalist, perhaps that's idealistic of me, nonetheless she's running for VP and should know, actually as a governor she should know
There is an old saying, "a country gets the goverment it deserves". Surely america deserves better than McSame and Pale-in-comparison? The fundamentalist christians and their political wing, the republicans, have made america a laughing stock overseas, and the most hated country on earth which is a great shame for all the really great people in the USA. Wake up america, give Obama the opportunity to reverse this trend and win back the respect america deserves overseas - go Obama, go america!
It was painful and sick to watch an experienced journalist trying to embarrass this woman in front of the nation. The hidden political agenda in the use of the term "Bush Doctrine" was too obvious. Why didn't Charlie explained what he meant by the "Bush Doctrine" in the same sentence? Yet another low for journalism.
What a hick! just as stupid as a redneck could be! Vice president? I know foreign policy better than this rube! Maybe I should run! Oh wait....I can see Russia from my house! hahahahahahahhaahh I can't believe people are defending this idiot!
You know what this is the first time a REPUBLICAN TOLD THE TRUTH. She is most def a REGULAR HOCKEY MOM! Change to soccor or dance you might learn more. hahahahahahaha
yes but he must be careful not to look too aggressive because if "attacks" her too harshly, we will hear more BS about how unfairly elite liberals are treating her
That comparison was SPOT ON!

"The mullahs have known that Joe Biden is their No. 1 go-to guy in the Senate whenever they want their bidding done to fool the American people," Jerome Corsi charges.
In his book, Corsi names Biden, along with Democratic Sens. John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as recipients of funds from the "pro-mullah lobby" in the U.S.

moriya2k2 3 years ago 12
Thanks to the candidacy of Barack Obama, Black Liberation Theology is being exposed. Liberals and Democrats are trying to hush up Wright, Moss and others of their ilk, sensible Americans want to hear more, for knowledge is power, the power to combat hate. It serves not to reconcile and unite blacks with the larger cultural, but to keep them separate. Angry black leaders and leftists, see advantage & profit in keeping many people in black communities captive. Obama is steeped in racial politics.
hellotommy 3 years ago
and yet Obama polls higher than Mccain in almost every aspect.
first off Wright has absolutely nothing to do with black liberation theology. second, the only people who do care about that stuff were just looking for an excuse not to vote for him anyway. none of this stuff has anything to do with real issues.
moriya2k2 3 years ago
I'm not sure where you're trying to go with all this because you really have no idea what you're talking about. The Black Panthers? Louis Farrakhan? Now you're just making stuff up. Obama has publicly came out and ripped Farrakhan up calling him an anti-semite and a racist. You don't have to support Obama but you shouldn't label him a Black Liberation Theologian when there's no validity to that claim. I'm going to stop now because there's no point in even acknowledging bullshit.
volcombillx3 3 years ago 3
I never said a thing about Black Panthers or Louis Farrakhan. You're full of it. Where is Senator Obama? Not dealing with the crisis at hand. He is so unqualified to be President it's amazing how slow McCain has been at exposing that Obama is hiding from his responsibilities. He has done nothing his entire career but make friends with terrorists, criminals and anti-Americans. He doesn't even have an honorable friend. He is a foolish naive Chi-town thug.

In fact, there have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration -- and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. It is utterly different.". Krauthammer was the first to coin and publish the term "Bush Doctrine".

OBAMA TRIED TO STALL IRAQ WITHDRAWAL
Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders. Rather than reach an accord with the Bush, Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate. Obama also tried to persuade Petraeus, to suggest a "realistic withdrawal date."

SDgirl007 3 years ago
Sensing his "gotcha" moment, after making her fish for the answer, Gibson grudgingly explained to Palin Bush doctrine "is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense."
Wrong.
The fundamental mission of American foreign policy is to spread democracy throughout the world. "The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world. That is the Bush Doctrine.
hellotommy 3 years ago
The Iraq war was sold to us on the basis that there was a gathering threat. Remember all the talk about "mushroom clouds"? The threat was not imminent however so Bush needed to create a new policy where he could justify invading a non-aggressor. The Bush doctrine established, among other things, our "right" to preempt and disarm this gathering threat.
JWsPicks 3 years ago 4
There have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration -- and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. Colin Powell gave President Musharraf a seven-point ultimatum to end support for the Taliban and support our attack on Afghanistan -- that became the essence of the Bush Doctrine. Presidential doctrines are difficult to define. The only fixed "doctrines" in American history are the Monroe & the Truman doctrines.
hellotommy 3 years ago
So it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world.
From the day of our Founding, we have proclaimed that every man and woman on this earth has rights, & dignity, & matchless value. The moral choice between oppression, which is wrong, & freedom, which is eternally right. There can be no human rights without human liberty.

Because there are at least 6 "Bush Doctrine's" in use by political pundits and analysts.
