long way round was the BEST, long way down was kinda boring...the bikers weren't on they're own for a long time...alaways with the cars..armed guards from local police....nothing like mongolia, russia, etc...heat and dust..in one word - Africa..

I'm not saying that Africa isn't awsum, but it doesn't compare with mongolia or russia...

I hope they find time to do another long way round. Perhaps a North America to South America type of trip. Say From Hudson Bay to Tierre Del Fuego. I would definitely watch.

@samsteryfc i agree! 990 adventure is excellent.. i used to ride a ktm640..handles great offroad but as with all ktms, terrible vibrations.. currently im riding a terra adventure 125cc (looks like a 650 Dakar) for everyday use, while waiting for my 800GS this year :)

It is most certainly possible, My dad rode overland in 1970 something to australia. On a brand spanking Laverda Jirama (like kawasaki or ducati today) He did mountain passes and everything on that. So you would be fine on your kwak... just plan your route :)
