The G1 is extremely ugly and the iPhone is very sleek and stylish. The G1 was one of the ugliest phones I had seen that year. It's keyboard was bad, it had major flaws, and it didn't deserve to win. HOWEVER: When the Nexus One came out, I really liked the way it looked and the colored trackball and it's features and design, software, etc. I liked it better than the 3GS of the time. Just my opinion, though. :-D

well ya the g1 would look bad in that version , it was still in the "beta" form , now get the g1 it owns the iphone . I live in canada and i have a touch keyboard , and guess what I also have the safari browser , the only problem I have found is the camera sucks , but the apps ,(photo editor) somewhat

although the iphone does look alot skinner , where as the g1 is well lets just say ppl call mine a brick

No, you really are trying to bash the G1.

You completely bashed the G1 by only pointing out the negative points and by making them seem worse than they really are. You even managed to make the great parts of this phone like the track ball, keyboard and the amazing 3 screen displays seem bad.

Overall you basically made the Iphone seem completely unbeatable and the G1 seem like crap.

Well see i`m planning on getting the BlackBerry Curve 8900, one which uses the trackball and, I`m sorry to say, but the trackball on the G1 is completely useless as it is touchscreen and you only have to tap the screen to do everything (except for typing, but you`ve got the keyboard for that of course). I think they phone is alright, but why the trackball?

igot the canadian version from rogers i had an iphone and i have the htc dream i think the dream is beeter intouch screen cuz it doesnt stop working when it gets cold like the iphone where u have to have warm finger tips all time but i also dont like that both of them dont got msn but my opinnon is that i like the app store on the htc cuz u get top apps for free but with the iphone u gotta pay and u can get a new upgrade in software for the dream and it has a onscreen keyboard

Listen my friend... It appears you haven't explored the Apple App Store to it's fullest. The iPhone has many apps for MSN, both free and for money. I've got an iPod Touch myself, which uses the same OS as the iPhone, and I was able to download msn applications. You can get the ''lite'' version of almost any good paying app, and it's more than enough if you don't want to spend any money :)

hm my Android Magic has Exchange, on screen Voicemail and I dont think its harder than the iPhone to handel at all. U cant even have widgets on your iPhone.

Android also handles multiple programs at the same time and everything can be replaced if you dont like the messaging app then change it. You dont need to wait for a stupid upgrade to get functions. Just download another app to replace it.

Its like 6 musicapps out there to choose from.

now that there is a new update for the g1...features that it has lost points before such as on screen keyboard and video cam are now on the g1

and since it is like the 1.5 gen of the g1 and the 3rd gen of the iphone....the g1 is definitely much better and 1.5 more generations to fix its problems such as bulk and become a lot greater than the iphone

exactly what i was going to say! They have nothing bad to say about the Iphone at all, and the samsung omnia hd has a way better video quality then the iphone.

The g1 has a cool design, while the iphone is just blan. Atleast htc puts some engineering thought into their phone instead of a rectangle with a could rounded corners.

Android is a lot nicer then Apple os.

There are better phones out there then both of these, but the G1 is in my mind nicer then the iphone, ive had both and the apple sux

I own the G1 and agree with some of what is said. Having said that, the iPhone costs alot more. Not only monthly for the same level of tarrif but also to buy so it should be slightly better!! The G1 is also cheaper to run with its lists upon lists of free apps. The hard touch keyboard is also nicer to use than a touch scren one even though both are avaliable on the G1.
