Great memories. It's funny how you can associate these games with an exact place time and memory in your life. For me I remember a cold winter, my mom was making thanksgiving dinner. My family was happy. I was playing this game during that period... Now everything is fucked my family is a disaster and the innocence of childhood is gone.... But thank you for the memories!!!!

As a kid this was one of my favorite games. The game was great alone, but what made me really like it was the fact that i played it with my dad. Me and my dad would always fight to be the best. At first I would always lose, but then i got to the point where my skill level surpassed him. Now this game is a joke in difficulty. I can beat hover races with pipsy easily. I just wish there was an adventure three or some sequel! The DS version sucked too.

Walurus Cove is a race track on DKR, On The N64 it is at night and on the DS it's During the day, To just to let you Know I Own the DS Version.

They made a remake for this on DS, no where near as good as the original. However, they have mario kart for wii, gamecube ds and 64 along with others, so diddy kong racing is missing from the wii! Would be so much better than mario kart wii, with the different vehicle options and story mode :P Who's with me? :)

I do like this game but Im gonna have to disagree. mario kart has better stages and better weapon selection. and their karts can hop unlike those of diddy kong racing.

But I love the fact that you drive to the different stages rather than selecting them, along with boss levels and unusual minigames. Perhaps with a better weapon selection and a "random" balloon? That would be cool. And the returnn offff... WIZPIG ARGHH!

Allow me to tell you things you don't care about: You didn't use the gasless boost technique and failed to hit all the zippers, didn't save any blue powerups for choke points, never hopped any corner snow mounds, and didn't collect ten bananas. But you still won. lol i don't care either, but that's how I always played, all agressive-like.

This was an overall great game, and the music was no exception. I don't know how they did it, but pretty much ever score in this game came to be a perfect balance of being a cachy & varying tune, but without ever taking your focus off of the game.

If anything, it got to the point where I couldn't even play the game without it, and speeding up the tracks as the clock ran down was brilliant.
