I own MK1 on a plug n play and i was on the pit and won against Liu Kang with a DOUBLE FLAWLESS VICTORY and a FATALITY. Right after that it said CONGRATS, YOU HAVE FOUND ME and Reptile popped out and we had to fight under the PIT and of course i lost but it has only happend once and only ONCE...

This is fake! in order to fight reptle u must get a double flawless on the pit and do a character fatality. The stage fatality does'nt count.

Its no fake.Reptile could be fought but he was a bit glitchy.Sometime he had Scorpion's kife bar,sometimes he didn't.And also he had a fusion of Sub-Zero and Scorpion's moves.

@darthdragonking you could sorta play as reptile. when you get to reptile press start on the second controller and it will say "PLAYER 2 HAS ENTERED THE BATTLE" so then when you get to the select screen the characters will be glitched and sub-zero will be green. but after that round everyone will go back to normal color. hope this helps!

Ed says he is secret in the bio because he IS secret, as in details on how to fight Reptile were not released. They made it hard to encounter him and kept it a secret so that it would spread by word of mouth.

yeah I know you don't need cheats to fight him (it makes it easier though.)

but it isn't possible to play as reptile in part 1. I've looked at the code and it just isn't there. What you CAN do is alter the code to make scorpion or sub-zero have a green gi, but that's just a color swap. to play as reptile would require you to reprogram a lot of the game because there is no code or interface in place to allow you to control him, or to tell an AI character how to react against him.

its a combo of subzero and scorpian. Thats why he is green. blue(subzero) + yellow(scorpian) = green(reptile)
