It seems like a good product, I don't believe the point of the video is to shoot hogs, but to show how powerful the attractant was. When you shoot sometimes they scatter and don't come back, in this video they came back after the shot. I guess it was too obvious.
you need to test that stuff where the hogs are not already going to...they're already used to coming to the feeder. once they get there, they smell the stuff, but how would it attract them to a place that doesn't already have some other attractant--such as grain from the feeder...........
Get about ten shooters in a row and go to town with 30-06's. To hell with bows and arrows. Let the air out of those pigs. The young lady was learning how to use her bow and will in times start killing with it. She might not have been very mad at those hogs.
Sorry, but didn't you spread some of that "attractant" on the log as well? They're sniffing around in the sand right where the corn was. Rooting through the sand where corn is spread daily is a normal function for hogs. I would think they would be checking the log out as well. Not sold, but thanks for the time spent.

They also would become infected with flees and, ticks if it wasn't for humans. @lanerollerblader Agreed. The feeder was too far away and she was not pulling enough lbs on that bow to do anything but injure a pig. It's cool to take a kid hunting but after the third shot my dad would have taken my bow and forbid me from hunting until I get better at aiming and stronger for the heavier pull. It's bad ethics that give us hunters a bad name - regardless of the animal being killed.
Awesome product - too bad that her bow was a little to slow for those hogs. Those hogs dug on those arrows.
As this is from 08, I guess by now she got a faster bow anyhow that get this hogs. Bad day, the shot placement itself wasn't too bad, mostly directed right at the shoulder/lung reagion, maybe a little on the high side due to the treestand. Keep it up!

a tip for the girl shooting: you might want to crank your bow up a bit, it gets a little harder to shoot cuz of the pounds being added to the pull but trust me the feet per second will increase, and by seeing your first shot, you had good shot placement but the pigs are reacting before the arrow gets there (slow speed)... i had this problem too but i cranked up my bow and i finally got a hog

I think traps will be the go. An enclosure where they can get in but can get out, like a circle of mesh fence around a water hole or feed etc, with a push past type of entrance which cant be opened from the inside, then shoot them.
I would have liked to have seen a hog taken down, and see what the rest of the hogs did. If they come back with one dead on the ground THAT would be impressive. Shooting over their heads is somewhat pointless....

The grim reaper worked about as well as if I had urinated in the sand. They didn't pay any attention to that log at all. They were there eating corn for goodness sake. Looks like corn attracts them pretty good to me! I liked the girl getting out there and giving it a shot. I'm glad she got a pig!
watched the first 6 minutes of itand so disagree with the test. yes the hogs are holding but I bet there is cord/ pellet scent everywhere. no hogs pay any attension to the log which after three shots is the only place you can confirm has the reaper on it. hope she gets her hog , its hard with a slow underpowered bow( not her fault did I say) also alot of small pigs that will return over and over. peace good hunting

Again, one pig pushing the log out of the way in its search for food means nothing when a dozen others are looking elsewhere.
It would be a better test if the product could attract several pigs to one area for no other reward.
BLACK GOLD. in hawaii alot of us bow hunters use it.we dont bait much as far as corn n pellets goes, maybe some papayas ,mango, or other fruit found on the way to hunting area.but BLACK GOLD is EXACTLY what the name says good luck hunting 09 ALOHA
