I don't think I would love the movie as much as I do if they hadn't put in the time-travel element. XD It's totally mindless and mental and the only complaint I have against it is that Biggles doesn't spend enough time in 1980's London making shocked faces at punks. Although my favourite part is still Jim landing almost naked in a nunnery, and nobody figuring out that something strange was going on. Nice little review. :)
@griersson I saw an episode of that - it isn't half bad. However, since I saw the film first, to me, Neil Dickson (who played Biggles in the film) IS Biggles :)
Everything you say is true.
Awful film. But you know, its although its accident, its brilliant. Biggles always seems to be your best chidhood friend throughout.
Loved redisoverving this movie recently. I have it on DVD. "If you can fly a Sopwith Camel, you can fly anything!"

Nice piece.
You're very entertaining!
I'd love to see ITV do the 'Biggles' two hour Sharpe style adaptations.
Same with 'Flashman'.
However, I don't think we should hold our breath as ITV are, for want of a better word... Skint.

Indeed I did but I don't like it that much as its too simple to do what I want.
I'm going to get Final Cut and be done with it soon.

I remember loads of kids at my school that were into Biggles for a while, there was even a Biggles themed restaurant near me.
But I could have swore there was a TV series of it.

There was indeed a TV series in the late 50's/ early 60's (With John Leyton of all people!).

Ah I have the film on DVD, I purchased it last year from Woolworths.
It was being sold in Woolworths own brand DVD range!

Sadly, I believe all episodes are lost, can anyone verify that?
