GREAT VIDEO! Really like how it drives next to the road and shows how much kick it has... Post more!
I'm a bit surprised at the top speed though. My mint 2004 500SS tops out at 165km/h, and I thought the new 800's would be in the 200km/h range. I'll wait and see how fast it goes when it is broken in like some people said.
Still on the fence about getting the new 800 E-Tec or the 1200 4-Tec. I have a 4-Tec in my new Sea-Doo and its flawless (1500CC 3-cyl and supercharged to 255HP).
@TheClaytonBaldwin That's 165 on the speedo (not very accurate, I know). I changed the sparks, installed a new drive belt and poured 94 octane gas this season and I don't know if it was any or all of the stuff I did, but I got 172km/h this year on it on the lake (ice with about 4cm (2 inches or so) of packed snow). That's 7 km/h more than ever before. Next year I will need to replace my track because its worn out (original track from 2004, and yes, its studded). I'll see how it goes then.
this is no where close to the top speed of the sled. my 600 etec tops out at 105 mph so this machine has lots more speed yet. there is a break in function on these sleds so when your just starting off, you dont go blowing the engine. it limits the top end till its broken in(300 miles). after that this should top out somewhere in the 115 to 120 mph range
i think there's a break-in function thing that limits the performance of the motor till you get like 300 miles on it so it probably wasn't running at its full but still fast as hell
@bennyv04988 It was a typo, and an unfortunate one. I know it is in kmh, how you suddenly seem to be so educated on the stock performance level of snowmobiles, after actually asking " khm or mph?" is quite comical. And by the way, I know all about sleds, I own a Yamaha Apex. Go ahead... check my page. 110 mph flyby.
What awesome news! I have an MXZ 800X Renegade that always gets from 15 to /7 mpg. It has a ton of power. The suspension is it's only real fault. It is very harsh in chatter bumps.
After test riding a 600 e-tec, I swore that the only reason to replace mine was if they offered the 800 e-tec. Looks like I might be placing an order this spring. Thanks for the video!
they are sick, we took off the riser and bars and replaced them with protapers and a sled pro black 4" riser. also we have the tunnel reenforcement on it with the low black metallic w/s. looks sickkk
Le ski zoo peut enregistrer des runs et on peut les regerder par la suite . Mon 800 e-teck a attein 189 km/h

Now on the ski-doo site, it says 325km per a liter of oil. A litle disapointing but still an amazing engine!

Lamagoalik 2 years ago
I don't think so. The sled wasn't broken in yet and it still seemed to be slowly climbing.
eckomarine 2 years ago
@Lamagoalik i got the same one and the max i get on a mile and a half is 189 km/h
TheKasoy90 4 weeks ago
Was that a 171 in km's or miles??
evva1469 2 years ago
It's in km's about 106 miles an hour.
eckomarine 2 years ago
@evva1469 mph, and these are called snowmobiles, because you clearly know NOTHING about them...
bennyv04988 1 year ago
@bennyv04988 listen dumb fuck, its in km's, no stock sled can go 171 mph first ride. Clearly you know nothing about SNOWMOBILES.
